Vulcain new model launch
« on: August 03, 2010, 10:29:41 PM »
Thanks Scott for the heads up and Alvin for the invite. Good to see you after so long. ;D
Sorry the pics is of very bad quality cause i just used my phone.
Thought it was a casual event but turned out to be formal with dinner and everyone's card on the table is either Dr. or Dato  :P
My 1st time attending these event and what a eye opener. Get to try out the entire lineup :Dancing_banana:
Also my first time listening to the famous cricket sound and its DAMN LOUD for a watch ! :o
Watches all could be purchased on the spot with quite good discount especially the enamel dial one, but sorry...cost of a new Vios top spec.
Anyways on to the pics and sorry again for the quality.

Sorry for my reflection on the glass

The yummy enamel dial versions.

My fav of the night and one i can realistically afford. Those who know me know my love for the semi or full skeleton dial. And the gorgeous blued hands

Soooo cute, awww pandas :P . List rm156k

My fav of the enamel ver the dragon, feel like an emperor wearing this hehe :P

New "sport" range with some phantom dials. List cost the same as Daytona

Almost 90% of their lineup has the cricket alarm function except some gold and ladies version.
I loved the lady director who sounds so much like a mamasan introducing watches instead of her lui luis haha. She knows her brand and stuff!

This is one thing lacking actually.
No models. Only staff from the distributor.
Also during dinner i would have expected the people from Vulcain would give a speech of some sort but didnt have also.
Just a quiet dinner and then end.

Good report, Peter !

Frankly, I think the prices are not too high considering the iconic cricket alarm, if compared to JLC. One of the skeleton models going for 15K+ after discount on that night is reasonable... I think.  ;D
