What are the watch brand that our MWF brothers and sisters don't own and will not intend to buy even though you may afford it in future?

Hublot and Richard Miller. I probably would marvel and some of its innovation but I honestly can't ever see myself owning one.

For those common brands around, I would probably avoid the Panerai.
-
My list of the more mainstream brands:
1) Hublot
2) Panerai (had 2, never again)
3) B&R
4) Breitling
5) Graham
6) Maurice Lacroix
7) Ball
-
Too many for me, can't list out. I only buy Rolex & Omega !
-
Of the very popular brands I think it's only Panerai. I personally don't find it appealing.
-
What I have not owned and not intending to buy and the reasons for so;
1. Corum - Not a fan of the design of any of their watches;
2. Graham - Not a fan of the crown-guard;
3. Hublot - The models that appeal to me are too big whilst those that are wearable for me don't appeal to me;
4. Roger Dubuis - Not a fan of the signature roman numeral on the dial; and
5. Ulysse Nardin - Not a fan of the design of their watches.
What I have owned and not intending to buy;
1. Maurice Lacroix - there are other better choices for the money;
2. U-Boat - Not a fan of the crown-guard after a while
-

3. Tag Heuer
4. Bell&Ross
5. Maurice Lacroix
6. Graham
7. Longines
Finally, I can delist Longines now.
This Longines Master Collection Annual Calendar really makes miracle happens.
Its price tag is less than Euro 2k. It will be my next target watch! :thumbsup:
-
Graham...i find the crown on the left is big and not comfortable to wear it. Resale value also not good.
-
HUBLOT
-
DW
-
I saw few people mentioned Tag
Any reason for it?
-
Hi all, still fresh into the watch continent, and prefers Chronographs:
1. Hublot - I find the designs are too bold (aggressive), well big is definitely one factor to consider but I don't think I'll even consider buying it even they are produced smaller.
2. Hamilton - Tho I like some of their designs like the Khaki Chronos, the "concave" finish on the glass is not really my kind. Others are just...meh
Will probably add more to the list as I go.
-
Hublot #1
-
1) hublot | panerai.
both shares the number one spot for will not buy in my lifetime.
-
Hublot and Franck Muller, not even if there's 90% discount at the AD
-
i dont like the design of RADO. also ORIENT, i owned one before, automatic watch, is not accurate and you have to keep manual adjust, very troublesome
-
Rolex of course, people will always doubt the authenticity if you wear one..

1. Panerai- once a very popular insurance agent watch
2. Tag Heuer- same as above
3. Seven Friday - cant understand the concept of it
4. Frederique constant- luxury watch wannabe
5. Rado- Cant find a nice gentlemen piece, yet
-
I saw few people mentioned Tag
Any reason for it?
Personal preference. But most passionate horologist just coincidentally dislike Tag Heuer .
-
I have to say my vote goes to Hublot too. None of their designs attract my attention.
-
Tudor and tag heuer

Hi, just wondering why Tudor? Am planning to get a Tudor BB 58 and would like to hear a different opinion. Thanks!
-
Seven Friday and ice watch, only for kid
-
Don't think I will go for brands like Graham, Ball, Breitling, Maurice Lacroix and Oris.
Entry level can always consider something like Omega or Tag Heuer, preferably a used one due to value concern and you will definitely go for a better piece very soon.
-
Franck Muller :o
-
For me it has to be Tag Heuer, they just don't appeal to me.
-
So many, but public enemy #1 is Daniel Wellington

Easy to have a list this one
It's all personal and subjective of course.
1. RM
2. Hublot
3. Panerai - I never get it
4. AP - yes, not my thing, those octagonal ones especially
5. Sinn - Design genetics not matching with my taste
Names I like to start - Nomos, PP (yeah in my dreams), Oris, Omega,

Amen to that! plus any other fashion watch.
-
Let me play as well.
1) Seven Friday
2) DW
-
DW, 7Friday & frank muller. prefer swatches and casios over these atrocities..oh and those BR "instruments" too :Laughing_on_floor:
-
I clicked in expecting to see brands like DW, Filippo Loreti, Bomberg, Alexander Christie..
Instead, I saw huge brands like Ball, Breitling, Tudor, Longines being listed as outcasted brands - then I got confused. Some of these brands, Breitling, Longines, Ball for instance, had rich heritage and history behind their brands (eg the railway accident).
Yikes.
-
I think I owe you an explanation here.
I meant that out of those serious watch brands (not those fashion watch brands-eg. DW, Filippo...etc).
The fashion watches are automatically excluded here. :)
-
Wasn't directing my comment to anyone :) I meant to say ppl here have high standards haha ;D
:thumbsup:
