Hi Bros,

Updates! The review almost done. now is the photos part. my Samsung could not give the watch justice. i am getting a proper high res camera for the picture shots soon.

Probably ask Joseph to give me a hand on this. His close up picture shots are incredible ;D

Dear Eric,
It would be my pleasure to assist in taking macro pics of your holy grail although there are many more accomplished macro shooters in mwf.

Regarding ur holy grail. let me break it down as per your tips..

Holy grail means one of the trinity or a AHCI..for some JLC, Lange is also included
Grand Complication means at least 3 complications from any combination of :
repeater/sonnerie, chronograph, perpetual calendar, sidereal, equation of time, alarm, tourbillon
Most of these are in straps
Most precious metal-platinum followed by PG,WG,YG or one of RM's esoteric materials
Pre-owned- this is a Pandora's box- be very careful that many grand complication owners sell their watches when its time for a service as servicing costs for grand complications cost as much as a local mini compact car

Since the price is acceptable and drooling, I'm guessing its either a VC, IWC, UN, JLC...

Dear Fellow watch enthusiats, i would like to share my joy of landing one of the "Ultimate" Holy Grail. I have not written any review of my watch before but for this, i think i will try my very first to write about it.  Which brand and model? please bear with me while I am preparing the review. (I learnt to build up suspense from a fellow forumer here  ;D)

Some clues
1) definitely a holy grail by any standard
2) A Grand complication model
3) A dress watch, in strap
4) in one of the most precious metal case
5) I got it pre-owned at an acceptable price. the brand new price would keep many drooling enthusiats (me included) keep drooling with no help... :Laughing_on_floor:

Let's see who could guess it right.. :D

Personal taste and preferences evolve over years, hopefully not 1 full circle otherwise it means we haven't learnt a single thing.

as a watch newbie... i wanted to guess JLC but deleted my post thinking i'll get laughed (or worse :Scolding:) at...

Read that "holy" usually means PP, VC and AP... and recently ALS...

el118, mind giving at least a close up teaser (or at least a partial teaser) while everyone is eagerly waiting? :Praying:

not at all, i've been very interested in JLC lately... initially thought of guessing Duometre ;D

high complications won't be in my list this lifetime but the MUTs maybe :Praying:

The Answer is

ALS Langematik Perpetual in Platinum.

I was surprised that the 1st post already hit the answer. that shows fellow forumers are fast and sharp.

IF a holy grail, a Patek Minute repeater comes to mind..

I second that!
