@kettle

I bought "Seiko SARB065 Cocktail Time".

According to its FAQ, it takes about 4 working days to deliver for Asia region.

@kettle, what a coincidence. I just bought a sarb033 from a Hong Kong-based seller on eBay. The package went through kastam with no problem :Dancing_banana:

Any what the duties currently are to import a usd 500 dollar watch? Is it gst 6% still?
No other duties except GST

Actually there is also Custom charges @RM18 and GST on top of that.
Not sure if the RM18 is standard or based on %.

Looks like you may get a letter from Customs to pick it up yourself. My last shipment was also from Seiya. Since Seiya is honest and put the true value of the shipment on the manifest, customs took note.

Anyway, customs will input the GST not only based on the value but also the perceived courier charges from Japan.  Bring along the purchase confirmation from Seiya that states the total price also includes the courier charges.  At least you get some savings.

I just collected my parcel yesterday. The customs asked for proof of purchase and luckily i had brought along a printed copy of my PayPal invoice. Interesting to note that they followed the invoice price to charge GST instead of what is stated in the parcel.

So happened that I also have a watch accessory package held at Customs at KLIA. I was given to understand that the seller had noted the accessory as a sample unit, and it had been delayed for a couple of days but was out and about again. Should be expecting it soon enough.
