Title: Germans of the same father but from different backgrounds
Post by: G.MAC on July 09, 2011, 02:47:32 PM
Just got these two this morning. Will review them after i give them both a thorough test run.
First up, the Steinhart Ocean 44 Automatic Black DLC. Reminds me of the Rolex Deepsea SeaDweller if it were DLCed.

Comes with matching black DLC bracelet but i swapped it out for the military green to achieve the ProjectX Rolex look.
Second up, the Steinhart Ocean GMT Vintage. Looks like the vintage Explorer II

First impression of both watches:-
1. Solid built and they are quite hefty.
2. Quality of workmanship is good.
On top of these, they are reasonably priced and i would highly recommend them

Nice pick up
Personally I prefer the homage vintage ExpII than DSSD.

On first look i thought when did someone come out with a DLC dssd.
Good call on the nato strap, matches nicely.

Thanks guys. I also prefer the vintage ExpII when i unboxed and handled them for the first time. I'll just keep the DSSD around to see if i will get any 'feel' for it. Guess the pictures and the real thing are never the same :Laughing_on_floor:
