Humble collection of a budget WIS
« on: January 08, 2012, 11:38:05 AM »

After months of passive enjoyment of fellow forumers collection, it is time for me to post my small collection

Next target should be a proper watch casing

bro chin,

nick was right! "humble" is not the right word for your collection of SEIKO, ROLEX, OMEGA, MAURICE LACROIX.

i would love to know more about your chinese watch, mind to share more about it?

yeah! you are right, you should get a proper watch box/casing. try to check out the for sale section.

thanks for sharing your "ultimate" collection

You guyz flatter me. TQ for the compliments

Rolex Oysterdate was a heirloom from my late Grandfather's visit to Swiss circa 1970. Darn thing cost more to service then its actual cost. I think my Grand Father bought it for RM650.00

The seagull was the watch that introduced me to this site. Was saving up for a red army watch (love the retro throwback to the Coldwar era) as the soviet cost four figures but stumbled to the watch from google. Signed up to this forum just to make an offer for the watch. Thot since it was a chinese army pilot watch it would be durable as a daily beater but the watch died on me after about a month (drop from arms length)

Seiko 5 bought after reading the rav review bout Seiko from this forum (immediately after reading) Love the watch for its looks, reliability and especially for the value (exactly the price that Shah quoted)

Ya, a collection of Loleks, 'Mega & ML is not considered "humble" by most.
Anyway, it was a Great  collection of watches you have there, chin.
I see the majority are  "big watches" (except the Loleks) and mostly white dial with the exception of the 'Mega(blue) and ML(black).

No worries, my fault for dropping it. Tried many shops but when they open up they say too complicated and will cost 'alot' to repair.

Anyway it is still running just that the chrono will not stop and sometimes the mechanism get stuck (watch stop working). Just a little shake and it continue working  :Laughing_on_floor:  Still wear it occasionally

No wonder! The condition looks too good to be a vintage.I didn't know chinese watches had automatic chronograph actually.
