As much as I appreciate a vintage watch, I would not sell my six digit for a four digit Rolex. But that is just me. Do what you want, and wear what you like. As for demand? There will always be a demand for a vintage Rolex. Question is...in what condition is your watch? Has there been parts replaced during a service? So many variables that could affect the final selling or buying price of a vintage watch. Which is why I am not going in that direction as I have no idea what I am looking at or if I am being scammed. I would just stick to modern watches.
