Found a skeleton in my closet
« on: July 16, 2011, 02:32:14 PM »
Hey guys,

As promised, here're some photos of the new watch that i bought. It took a tour to vietnam so that i could claim back the tax refund and came back to me yesterday.  This is one watch that a lot of people will say i'm crazy to pay for it, given that it's ETA movement and overhyped..but i just couldn't take my eyes off the dial and overall aesthetics. It really took me a while to decide if i should get this piece vs the other 2 watches i've shortlisted. I've been thinking if it's worth what i'm paying for...but in the end the irrational side of me won.  ::)

One more akan datang...waiting for the stock to arrive..  :Praying:

the extra rubber strap given to me (but i still prefer the tyre version that it's mounted on now)

cheers

james

Looks huge-what size is it?

I've been thinking if it's worth what i'm paying for...but in the end the irrational side of me won.  ::)

I think if all of us are always rational,we wld all probably be wearing Casios. After all,why pay top $$ when a quartz can tell time, and is more accurate compared to an auto as well!!

Great pickup James!
Is this the Ice Bang?

What made you go for this instead of the Unico movt versions?

no bro..this is the aerobang series using the HUB4200 (ETA) movement...i was quite keen on one with tinted red sapphire glass and red markers with Unico movements (L.E F1 version and latest from Basel 2011. Another S$2.6k more also) but i was looking at skeleton dial and this is the only one available.

i chose form over movement this time round..

Well done also sir.
Dont know but i dont fancy the F1 versions, maybe i dont like the crown and red not my fav color haha.

Now if its the Senna versions thats another story.

The rubber strap you have, the grain pattern kinda looks like croc. Is that the "gummy croc" strap that Hublot has? or is that something else?
