Designed In 1976 by Jack Heuer to celebrate Niki Lauda's first world championship title with FERRARI. it was the first time that MONZA had appeared on the dial of a watch. At that time, the watch was markedly different, yet very stylish and unique enough to set it apart from the Monaco.
An all black chronograph equipped with a pulsometer (to measure the heart rate) and a tachymeter scale (which converts time into speed), red hands and counters to reflect its racing heritage, the new design ushered in a brand new era in the history of this model.
Watch case and deployment buckle is made of Grade 5 titanium coated with black titanium carbide for scratch resistance and is water resistant to 100m.
Leather strap is full grain calfskin with rally style perforation inspired by vintage steering wheels.
Released in 2016 to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the 1976 Monza, this watch is highly collectable as each piece is numbered, limited and is no longer in production.
My watch has only been worn a few times and is in mint condition with no scratches on the watch and deployment buckle and no signs of wear on the leather strap.
