Thanks Hobbit.Thought that I need to dig deeper to get to the latest millesimation data. But why not share the infos to their customers. At least let us know how many numbers produced for each models. Or do they do that at Basel SIHH each year? And what's the point of not making public the no. produced. I'm a but lost on thus one.
My guess would be that they (Panerai) do not want the people to know the number of watches they produce in a year. Why? Well they use to be very exclusive because they were a well kept secret. Production were in the low 30,000 at best. Now they are exclusive by cost.
I would guess that perhaps the current production would be around the 50,000 mark (if not more)? Use to be able to track (indirectly) by the number of COSC certificates issued, but this no longer holds water as Panerai do not send their in-house movement for COSC certification.
