Just watched Inception last weekend, and couldn't help but notice the in-your-face placement of watches in a few scenes, the most obvious of which was when Cobb looked at his Swiss Made piece upside down. Though the brand name is not shown, it's apparent that he's wearing this watch:

WV211B.BA0787

WATCH-ID.com stated:

Leonardo DiCaprio wears a TAG Heuer Carrera Automatic in the movie Inception. The words "swiss made" and "automatic" on the dial and part of the black dial of the watch can be seen in a close up shot in one of the first scenes in the film. It's no suprise Leonardo wears a TAG Heuer: he's one of the brand ambassadors of the brand and can be spotted in some advertisements.

The exact model used in the film is the TAG Heuer Carrera Automatic WV211B.BA0787 with steel case, steel bracelet and black dial. The watch has a Calibre 5 automatic movement, date window at 3 o'clock and luminous, diamond shaped hands.

On several premieres of Inception (in London and Tokyo for example), DiCaprio wore a TAG Heuer Carrera Automatic Chronograph Tachymetre with leather strap (CV2016.FC6205).

This watch looks elegent! Anybody know how much is it?

Tell me about the power of advertisement. The latest Bond wears this in Casino Royale, and made me think ... "if I can't be Bond, I want to wear his watch at least!"  :Dancing_banana:

Been watching Minority Reports for a few times, and has always thought the piece worn by Cruise was a Bulgari as shown below:

But has just read that it was (allegedly) an Omega X-33 which was modifed to look like a Bulgari. ??? Not sure whether this is true or not.

Hobbits, as a proud owner a an X-33, what say you? ;D

The Bvlgari was CGI onto a Gen 1 X-33. Rumours are abound that the studio was sued but no details are available. A number of mistakes in the movie. In the scene after Tom Cruise character was operated on, you can see the X-33 without the CGI. Also the one you (manburg) showed in the last photo.

Thanks mate. When I first originally watched the movie, I said, "wow, what a cool watch! :o" and thought it's really in existence as one of Bulgari's models (and of course customised for purposes of the movie). But never imagined it's actually an Omega.

You should watch war movies and see how many get the watches wrong. But I figure if the movie like Minority Report was done by Kubrick, they would not have gotten the watches 'wrong'. Remember the 'All Work and no play .... from The Shinning? Kubrick actually had all the pages typed out.

Yeah like the little known fact that Panerai watches actually appeared on Arnold Susah-nak-eja wrist in the movie Eraser before Stallone on Daylight.

Just finish watching one of the best comedy of all time, Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein. Got to love the following:

Wolf howling in the background...
Inga: Werewolf!
Dr. Frankenstein: Werewolf?
Igor: There!
Dr. Frankenstein: What?
Igor: There, wolf. There, castle.

Shaolin Soccer is good but Kungfu Hustle is definitely better.

both were OK but his acting was much better when he wasn't the producer/director.

Shawshank Redemption is definitely up there, as you can even see that some of the polls had actually listed it as no. 1. I don't really dig it, but it's said that the movie tells us what firendship is all about.

Speaking of Apocalypto, i saw it in the US.
But going in and seeing that Disney name on the poster i didnt think much of the movie.
Great movie overall, i salute Mel Gibson directing such film with non english speakers.

Does the DVD have the end scene when the lady was giving birth?
That was wayyyyy gross !
