hi all,
so i've got a D7000 for some time now and rarely use it. bulky thing to lug around. most of the time, pictures are taken with iPhone.
anyway, as the topic says, i'd like to try doing macro. so i'm looking for advice and suggestions from camera experts here. at the moment, i've only got the standard kit ie. body + 18-105mm kit lens.
while in KL, i looked at the macro converters that was made up of a lens screwed on the front of the kit lens. pictures looked terrible and didn't quite like it. furthermore, it was expensive.. 2 separate lens (for different X times) screwed together for RM900 and RM450 for different brands.
then i also checked out the Nikon macro converter which is 2 metal rings (also separable) which was to be used on a 50mm lens. with one ring, the lens was backwards and the other ring turned the lens around again. better picture but no AF.
did not try out dedicated macro lenses yet. pretty costly and not sure which to choose.
so what do you experts here recommend??
thanks all!
