Tag Heuer to use Seiko parts

this will be interesting. I believe more companies will be affected by this move from the SWATCH group esp. those using ETA movement.

It will be interesting also to see if Seagull manage to take this opportunity to supply parts to Swiss watch maker as well just like OEM since they have drop in replacement for some of the ETA movement.

Not a surprise move from TH as caliber 1887 is from Seiko anyway.

Don't think Seagull will make it as China made parts are always perceived as lower quality.

A number of small independent watch 'makers' are using Seagull movements. True that they do (some and not all) strip down the movement and give it a once over but still, it is making small steps. I figure that there are some Chinese businessmen who are beginning to realise that sometimes you make money in the long run rather then hit and run.

caliber 1887 is a very solid and nice movement, i love it ;)
