Ho, thank for sharing...

Why not send them for services? Maybe you can pass it to your children in future?  ;)

I went to Wangsa Walk yesterday, there is a swiss made watches repair shop.
The boss is very friendly, he told me frankly his charges is more expensive
compare to others. He advice me to look for another shop.

There is a shop near national library, i will bring the Seiko and Raymond Weil for
repairing. No matter how much it cost, i will fix them.

Nothing beats timepieces which are handed down within the family. That's a priceless collection. Thanks for sharing Ho.

I do agreed with you.
Sometime, old watches brings back a lot of old memory.
I personally like to look at my old watches and recall those moment of time years ago...sweet or sour memory.
This is something a brand new watch could not provide.

Ho - Frankly speaking, for old watch restoration, not many 'swiss repairer' can do the job.

So instead of rejecting you out right, they will excuse themself etc,...their charges are high, no spare pars, etc and so on.

A good restorer will willing accept your watch and patiently rework / modified where necessary but be prepared to pay more. But never ever send them back to Switzerland, they cost you a bomb.

I am almost a recovered watchaholic, but last checked shows only 70% recovered. How?

from my Grandpa.

This watch remind me of my dad busted seiko watch minus the day & luminous marker.  ::)

The watch is busted because already masuk air and the whole movement karat already.

I ask the shop in amcorp mall to do anything abt it they say they cant & only thing is to change the movement itself.

I think not much proper watch restorer in malaysia  :P

Lol my Oh-mee-gah is on the way to binenne  :HammerHead: Will anticipate high cost  :HammerHead:

A cheap watch is not a problem...... for me.... (maybe because I'm having lots of cheap watches.... :D)... but the nostalgia that brought along with it is priceless.... Nice man
