Chris, i need u advise on this...i encounter my MM have this kind of problem...the second hand stop before 40 hours after full wind...whn i re-adjust the minutes hand, the second hand start moving again...what make this happend? short of lubricant oil or 
time for servicing ard??? this is just merely a year plus watch.. another Q is how to justify the movement is swiss made or asia made?

the price u pay for the watch will tell is swiss movement or made in china movement because the difference is great...
a china made watch only rm300+
a simple decorate swiss eta movement will cost u usd200, plus case n labor cost n profit... so price sure exceed rm1k...
when near to 40 hours, the force of the barrel is weak... so not enough to push the wheel... but when u shake it or move it around... it run for a while.... so no big issue..... the other reason could b the grease in barrel choked at that point....
no watchmaker will want to service a china made movement...
1. this will spoil the watchmaker name... where got watchmaker like ppl say he repair replica/fake/cheaply made watch?
2. get a movement or a new watch is more economical
