Mount Irau, Cameron Highlands~
« on: December 24, 2012, 03:38:33 PM »
"Mount Irau (Malay: Gunung Irau) is a high mountain located at Pahang. Its summit is 2,110 metres (6,922 ft) making it the 15th highest mountain in Malaysia. Mossy forest and fairyland, cold wind and misty clouds; are some of the characteristics at Irau. You will need to hike about 3 hours to reach Irau from the feet of the mountain." - wikipedia

On the 11th Dec (Tue) Selangor had a holiday (SUltan of Selangor B'day)..  :Dancing_banana: because its been a while that i took a leave from work.. i took AL on 10th to have a good rest.. but it wasn't the case...

I meet up with a few friends after work on friday 7th  and after some times the Jim Thompson trail and the trans titiwangsa that some of u went for topic came out..

One thing let to another.. there n then we decide we should try to go to cameron.. and we somehow pick mount irau.. luckily all were working in selangor and all had applied leave on monday.. there goes my good rest... ><"

Planned to go on saturday morning.. but we started our journey to cameron late afternoon as we were up until 4am the other night..

Because this trip kinda ad hoc had few shortage of items.. so we decided to find it in cameron..
cameron was packed that weekend.. still cant find what we are looking for.. so decided to start climb on sunday..

we had to camp at Sg Pauh campsite as all the hotel were fully booked...

the river's water is clear and really freezing

On sunday we continue our goal... need to go through the tea plantation 1st.. its a narrow long winding road..

start the hike from mount brinchang.. which is along the border line of perak and pahang..

most of the trail are really step and you really need to climb..

after 3.5hours we reach the top.. we had a few breaks and had our late lunch at Mini Irau.

forgot to change watch.. ><"

here are some other photos that i would like to share..

the sun rise view..

amazing sceneries

most of the path also mossy.. reminds me of the lord of the ring scenes~  ;D

wrong watch for the occasion.. but it still survive~ ^^

we did 2hours on the return journey. overall its a tough but awesome hike~

thank you for reading this.. hope u guys enjoyed it~

tc cheers~ ^^Y
