Krabi, Thailand
« on: February 11, 2012, 01:52:07 PM »
Went to Krabi with my wife during 2nd day of CNY. Was planning to go either Phuket or Krabi (since both offer same island tour) ended up we choose Krabi cause it's idea for relaxing. Phuket is nice, but too commercial... prefer the small town feel of Krabi.

This is the hotel we were staying. Sala Talay Resort & Spa.

Don't really have time to go Krabi Town, just go around Ao Nang beach area.
AoNang street

Island Tour
There are few tours to choose, Phi Phi Island tour, 4 Island tour... etc etc
We choose Phi Phi Island tour, it stop at Bamboo Island, Phi Phi Island, Viking cave, Maya Bay, Coral Bay

Maya bay

Viking Cave

Phi Phi Don

just back from this lovely place, its not as crowded as phuket.... gd place for few days... relax, refresh, re charge your self...

i'm going with my 3 yr old boy this round.... not so adventure... no bike! no exotic food!

stay 3 nights at PAKASAI resort, 5 mins to the happening aung nang beach
lovely architecture, great deisgn, good service, superb location

not as many variety of food as phuket and koh samui....
but no lacking of good food.... especially my favorite thai food

handicraft, fashion, souvenir, massage, pub..... paradise for travelers

day 2 - 4 island trip

my autozilla is so excited to show his presence

oh yeah, lovely beaches, sexy bikinis, crystal clear water, fine sand, water and sandy games, laughter, boating, snorkeling.... and the long tail boats and cock temple!!!

thai always gd in decorating their car interior

on top of the hill, just higher up from the lae lay grill.... here is it the hill top restaurant! free pick up and drop off, good food, good price, fantastic sunset view and a romantic setting
the super spicy steam white snapper is yummy, love the crunchy white fungus that adsorb all the taste of spices, herbs....

a rather relax day 3 is for my son, an elephant ride, kids club, tub bathing....

i had this great lunch in a restaurant at the aung nang beach, but do not feel like sharing their name, sucks service, show my wife face when ask a busy waitress for taking my payment.... keep shouting at us when we complaint.... like monkey! god! first time in thai encounter such lousy service!

dinner at aung nang seafood restaurant, a very famous old restautant, at the end of aung nang beach! good food great service....

day 4 - quick city tour b4 going to airport

fish research center.... new species, the zebra nemo

krabi river

famous land mark

tiger cave temple

and before end of the trip, we were treated with this famous dark noodle
great taste, exactly the same taste as the instant dark noodle.... but its delicious, love their kuey tew!!! both the thin and the fat one

with some fresh sireh wrap as appetizer, yum yum!

BYE BYE KRABI.... a must visit place, maybe next round i should drive from KL to Krabi!!!

Yeah, Krabi is really nice and beautiful place. There, I spend around Rm1500++ including air ticket, accommodation, meals etc…My advise is that not to bring too much cash and used USD because it is accepted everywhere. Use credit card will be recommended.
