Bandung, Indonesia
« on: November 17, 2011, 01:50:19 PM »
Need to escape from the busy life few days…. Lucky my wife bought me this cheap airasia ticket to a placei never thought of going b4… BANDUNG

Day 1

Reach the airport quite late…. Flight delayed for an hour.
The airport is so small, was told it is a military port, just been commercialized not long…. Thnx to Airasia!
Bandung being a place famous for good weather and shopping for Jakarta people, so our first stop is the most famous fashion shop!!! RUMAH MODE

OMG, spent 50% of my budgeted $$$ for shopping at 1st stop!

Next stop, late dinner at Dapur Sangkuriang, Sudanese food!

Fish soup recommended by the waitress, very big portion and quite good

Set of 4, grilled checken, tempe, fried tofu, kerepek ikan, salted fish…. The grilled chicken is really delicious!

If we come bit earlier, we should  be entertained by some show…

Next, late check into

A very very old hotel, clean and tidy, but but the shower really gave us some problem, its sudden hot and cold really make us stronger…. Lol

Day 2

Get up early, quick breakfast at hotel…. Nice journey along…

And we are heading to tangkuban parahu

Breathtaking view…. Cooling…. Fresh air….

Kawah ratu, the biggest kawah in Indonesia, very deep, we can only see this from far

More photos from surrounding

After that we visited to the famous tea garden nearby

A wrist shot for MWF

Guess what we see next…. SEA GAMES, thought only in Jakarta

The cyclist is heading the same direction as us, after passing Malaysia, Indonesia….. YEAH, we cross the finish line 1st…. lol

Too early for lunch, so we drive around this beautiful place

Then borrow toilet from this nice restaurant, sabulidi

Early lunch at Kampung Daun

Gado gado …. Indonesian rojak, great!!!

Sate ayam with lontong (not ketupat n not nasi himpit, lol)

Sop buntut…. Oxtail soup, yummy, not as good as the famous Borobudur hotel in jakarta though

Nasi campur, always a good choice if you do not know what to order, pasti bisa

Was told here is famous for avocado, so I ordered this avocado juice!

I wonder why every1 recommended this restaurant, not just the food is good, but the environment

Down hill and head back to bandung town

These fashion shops is really eye catching…

After visited to a shopping mall, bandung indah plaza that sell original polo Ralph lauren at bargain, we continue to shop around Jalan Riau

From  Secret factory outlet, heritage factory oulet, cascade, rumah tas, formen…..

OMG…. Cant imagine the women can walk for so many hours never complain…. I’m so so tire!!!

Next stop

I’m so fresh again….

Dinner…. Going up hill again!!! The  Valley resort and restaurant

Raining…. If not sure better view

Great western food…. Lamb rack, grill ribs, king prawn….. FULL

Day 3… long journey, nearly 3 hours…… KAWAH PUTIH.

Narrow road….. but great view

Finally we arrive….. OMG…. If tangkuban perahu is breathtaking, I’m speechless for this…. Out of this world….  If double the travelling time also worth it…. I dunno how to describe, the photos tells something

See, my wife and her friends are jumping

And I’m playing with this

Downhill….

Lunch at Bandung…. Here

Famous for

Grilled fish…. Nice food and nice
Environment

After makan….. Shopping!
Toko tiga, the famous place for Levi’s …. Next shopping around Jalan Dago…. Too many names…. But I cant remember it now….  ZZZZ…..
I just cant wait for next stop…… Massage…. The Zen Family massage center…. Really good and relaxing, my neck pain almost gone!!!

After 90mins of massage, restaurant in our itinery  close…. No choice, we head for another local favorite,

For this Ayam Goreng Suharti

The famous fried chicken is surprisingly tender and very tasty! Pepek ikan emas is so so only…

Day 4, before going airport, we went to buy …. The famous brownies!
I’m so surprised to see so much cili padi use in bread and cake

thanks for reading

end here with these 2 lousy pano.... wish my gf1 can have the sweep pano function....

Thx for sharing, Chris.

What is your mode of travelling in Bandung, by Tour Guide or rented car?

Is this like Cameron Highlands but more commercialized?

All your destination always with a lot of food, cause I thought Bandung is more for shopping, now become food paradise  :Laughing_on_floor: :Laughing_on_floor:

The weather is cool, plentiful of food that caters for all sort of tourists, shopping is "heaven" for the gals.
