i like the macho omega and also the unique sportura.

kakashi, why cost so much to repair your sportura?  ???

what happen ?  ???

local Ad not being authorized to open change d battery, not even open the watch therefore need to send back to japan...
shipping/handling cost + service cost + profit for Ad as middleman

the new battery can last for 4-5 years, so wearing regularly will prolong the life span of the battery as well...

Changing batt cost RM2.8k??  :Startled:

Will it be cheaper if change in Japan instead of via the local AD???

will be cheaper if didnt go thru the local AD... coz they mark up profit for them self as a middle man...

but no idea how to send there... will be quite hassle if we don't have any contact there...

I dont think it is difficult to find the Seiko address in Japan from the net, I think if you go there via AxxAsia, the total will still be cheaper than or may be slightly more, but then you have a chance to visit Japan and Seiko service center...just a thoughts

5 years later, I think Japan might not be exist  :Laughing_on_floor: or will be more expensive. Sometime it is good just to take a break ....

kakashi,

My first impression on your pic was 'WOAHHHH'

Do you have any wrist shot on it??

If no, please do it now!  :D

Any significant value on this watch that make you willing to pay for the 2.8k repair price??

Will let to know more details about this particular watch, the look is just stunning  :Startled:
