Great to meet up guys. Many thanks to Sani for privilege entry and a personalized tour of the exhibition. As usual plenty of poison on display. Glad my other half kept my credit cards hostage.

Its great to meet some new faces and good to catch up with some which i dont see often.
Sorry Erik couldnt stay for the visit with us. We had good fun.

And thanks so much to Sani for staying with us for our entire visit and showing us all the watches.
Top notch and excellent service always!
Hope to one day have a TT session together with you outside your work :)

Oh and please tell us the correct spelling of the UN watchmaker and anyone who has time to visit the exhibition during the following week can still do so.

Whoever tries to insert the jewel please record your time and see if you can beat the rest  :Laughing_on_floor:

Other members who went please post your pics as well.

I am uploading the video i took and will post the link to it shortly.

You didnt mention me i so sad.... :P

Damn i knew i missed something, didnt get a chance to see Vertu.

The 1Malaysia watch by UN was nice but i think they should have done the dial in a more special way.
Enamel maybe?

Please find attachment of Mr. Gaetan ( sorry not ' Guyton ' ) biography.

Gaetan Bessonet
Master Watchmaker in high Complication

Mr. Gaetan Bessonet was born in 1976, in France where he obtained a comprehensive watchmaking qualification. His extensive training of 4 years allowed him to acquire complete knowledge and experience of all the cycle of manufacturing chronographs and mechanical complications. From 1996 to 2003, he successively worked as manager of the after sales service departments of renowned luxury watch manufactures.

Gaetan entered the customer service at Ulysse Nardin in 2003. He followed a 4 years in-house company specialization on the complex mechanism of the exceptional minute repeater timepieces animated with Jaquemarts such as Genghis Khan, Alexander the Great.
Several years of experience are crucial before aspiring to the position of Master Watchmaker, since it requires rare skills and ability. A repeater is as much a musical instrument as it is a timekeeper. Its magic sublime sound  is highly dependent on the human ear. For this reason each minute repeater must be individually tuned by a master watchmaker. The process can be arduous: tone is often adjusted by removing a small amount of metal from the gongs, but each time this is done the movement must be re-cased since the sound can only be properly tested when the watch is complete.
At the head of the department of high complications since 2007, Gaetan Bessonet creates, assembles, mounts and, if necessary, repairs movements equipped with complications such as a tourbillon, minute repeater or perpetual calendar. He is personally responsible for carrying out the casing-up of the caliber and endeavors to verify the compliance of all the watch’s features.

Aiya, those usual gang, no need to mention la, all in Heart ma  ;D

Yup, without Sani, my guess Genec and Scott will not have opportunity to try the Jewel  :Laughing_on_floor:

BTW, who have the fastest time between Genec and Scott??

That's a very impressive resume of Mr Geetan.

The MWF's gang last Saturday must be the privilage few who witness the master watchman in action and experience for themselves first hand in the art of watch assembling.
