I love vintage divers, love the simple not so sophisticated kind of case design. They are plenty vintage divers around; I don’t really like blancpain 50 fathoms design,

not so like super compressor design….

Hm…. Seiko leh? Too many ppl been collecting Seiko divers, I like it but don’t really feel like collecting any more Seiko divers….

I prefer something very raw, straight forward cutting case... At 1st I was looking at omega ploprof… the sm600

 and the modern sm1200.

Both price beyond my affordability now.

Soon my attention was those homage watches, zixen trimix 2000m caught my attention,

helson sharkmaster also attracted me….

Then I was thinking of why not + some $$$ to get the VDB

and Enzo Mechana,

both fitted with vintage movement (rolex and omega(ENZO))  on the very raw cutting case, I love it, but both are not cheap….

After all I ask myself if I were to pay this price, better I get a better condition vintage omega. So after some study online and chit chat with frens…. My attention was focus on the Franken watch, an omega from all nos movement, case and parts…. From one of the omega appointed official service agent in Australia, W****co.

Many of our mwf members hv handle the famous sm300

and baby ploprof120.

Like I said above, my love is on those with more basic cut case design. So I prefer the SM200,
even better look with the plongeur hands. But the price of all this isnt cheap…. So I been searching for the pre owned.

Last week, found 1 locally, with some hard bargaining…. Hm… got it at last :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana:

It came with a modern omega box

Unboxing

The watch on the nos omega mesh

But without the extension for diving… it will cost another rm400 to get it! Since I don’t dive…. No need!

Nice catch there, Chrisyen.

I, too, prefer a clean design, whether it is a military, divers, dress etc type of watches.

So you bought this online and not the shop we were gonna visit?

How do you actually adjust the length of mesh bracelet? Also held together with pins?

Yes, if you adjust only by the bracelet adj holes then I CANNOT wear  :'( there are still quite big gap around it so that will show all of you how SMALL is my wrist. lol

But thankfully my seller manage to find a jeweler who is expect in cutting gold/diamond to cut of the mesh itself. It take 1 hr to cut it and it take 15 dril bits to do the job, it is a spring steel. The jeweler also shocked to see how strong was the steel.

Now a happy wearer by cutting short the mesh a little bit.  I doubt ppl in malaysia will be able to do it  :Blue:
