The 45.5mm is already with the new owner.
So I am on this... his replacement... the 40mm Zenith Chronomaster Open T

Compared with the 45.5mm, I think the 40mm one suits me more.
You can see the 45.5mm on my wrist here.

thanks bro, but still nothing compared to your GO Navigator... I'll gladfully trade with you and top up..

I'm still looking very hard for the GO Navigator A dial without date- cal GUB100.

Actually found one and am making an overseas trip to hunt it down.. Hopefully its still in good condition and price is nego. Don't forget that I'm first in line for your GO Navigator B if you want to sell..
Ultimately will keep a type A & B dial but only if the entire watch is German, case & movt.
I'll most prolly keep this Flieger mostly due to the Junghans movt although this is only an interim pleaser...but its cheap so ok la.

My ultimate is still the GO Navigator.. hopefully GO will re-issue the edition I want...
(stupid me...I already missed getting the re-issue JLC Polaris of 7xx pieces)
I totally agree with you on the brown strap but the one that came with the watch was in poor condition.
Can you advise where can I get a new brown strap that is as close to the original design and color?

Sieg Heil

Supposed to be a weekend watch but new 'old' broom sweeps clean I guess..

This watch is a 3 'Firsts' milestone for me...
1st pre-owned watch
1st Flieger
1st watch with case & movement Made In Germany..

Hi, JOS, so you finally got yourself a Flieger with blued hands!! Congrats. If you don't mind me commenting, you should change the strap to a "honey brown" or "plum-brown" coloured strap as this will make it closer to the real fliegers used during WWII. Wear in good health!!

Hi, JOS, I am sure that part of the fun of watch collecting is hunting for the piece or accessorythat you desire...so i will not let you know the exact web-site you can get these straps!!!!   ;D

But to whet your appetite, you may wish to check-out some vintage WWII watches sites like

[no commercial link allow]

for some really good pics and inspiration!!

Best part about getting Seiko here is that you get the JDM. Just wondering how they (Seiko) divide the JDM and non JDM limited edition model. like this watch.

haven't worn this in a long long while...
was looking at me from its box this morning with forlorn eyes so just had to set aside the GS's for a day and take it out into the sun...
