Hi guys,

I am planning to bring my family to Langkawi after my elder finish his UPSR few months later.

Need a little help here. I am not very familiar with hotel at Langkawi.

It would be very helpful if you can recommend some good hotel to stay.

My budget is any 4 / 5 stars hotel / resort is fine.

Plan to stay for 3 nights.

Thanks in advance.

Try this Awana Porto Malai, not bad...the price is reasonable, but which ever the hotels you stay, better rent a car to hop around the island...Enjoy...

Hello TKYong.

I work in Langkawi. I can certainly give you some recommendations.

Give me some dates and I will try to check it out according to your budget.

Also try online. Sometimes, hotel's online rates are better than what we can get.

i went to this 5 stars resort in langkawi last year.

and i really like this place!!!

andaman beach resort

southest part of langkawi island.
got its private beach only for the guest of the resort. beautiful landscape!
great service!!! and really good restaurants!!

but, only for ppl who want to have a relaxed holiday.
its very far away from langkawi old town.
near to the famous skybridge but hard to get taxi there unless you use their limo which is not cheap.

i spend 4 days 3 nights there with my ex bf.
had really wonderful holiday there.

read books at the beach and then the workers in uniform keep bring us ice cold water and towel for free with smile make sure we enjoying at the beach.
we arranged dinner at the beach at night.
awesome decoration for our dinner, super romantic and their service real good!!!

and they have special offer for malaysian, which is about rm700 to rm900 a night. when they charging foreigner for bout rm1500 pernight... (if i not mistaken)

we stayed in the resort for 4 days and yes really nice resort dont mind going back again,

worth going if you want a relaxed holiday. =)
Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I was at the Berjaya resort at Teluk Burau (Burau Bay). The rooms look dated but the private beach was nice. It's also near to the Oriental Village (where the cable car is).

It's not as far as Andaman and teluk datai, which makes searching for an eating place a tad easier.

Have a pleasant trip!

If you plan to go that far you might as well go to Phuket ! Better hotel accommodation, better food and more places of interest !
