Chrisyen;
I have been buying and selling the (many) 6694 over the years. Eventually regretted and purchase this one for one last time... for godamm sake. I believe this one is for keep. Selling this one over again maybe painful as one with pristine condition is hard to get by. Anyway, thanks for the offer.

If you are serious, I be on a look out and let you know...if another one pops out...who knows?.

This pc sets me back less and below rm4k.

dc, care to share (I won't mind a PM) places whereby pre-owned rolex with reasonable prices could be had?

Thanks.

Buying vintage watches is a very personnal thing. Caution there are many fakes in the open market.
Unless you are a season buyer who knows his wares good.

Buying preowned, first you have to buy the seller.With a honest seller, you don't even have to open the back case to check and thats for formality sake.

Agree with dc statement. Not only are there fakes, there are also franken watches, redials, watches sold without original bracelets, etc. Important things to know or have with you to at least arrest some of these problems are things like knowing when the watch was made and compare against known list of Rolex serial number to year of manufacture (available on the Internet), being able to bring the watch RSC to check and verified, able to see and read the model number and serial number between the lugs, posting the pictures on forums that specialise in vintage Rolex to get their opinion ( do note that some of the people in these forums are purists and may consider a service dial not original), know what you want to buy, don't rush into buying and if it is too good to be true, well ......

Hobbit - you on with the above.

An honest seller who himself love watches with not match the bracelet onto rollie that do not goes in its circa.(years) and would rather put on a strap instead of a franken bracelet.

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to view one unit 369 vintage sub - said to have only 10 units exists in the world today. And the price?...it will blow your mind off.............sorry no picture/s allowed....to be taken.

DC,

You are indeed a very fortunate to be able to view and perhaps 'molest' a 369 sub. Vintage Rolex is a very 'dangerous' for me as I have a friend who is an enabler in vintage Rolex.

Its better to pay more for a good vintage watch and good/reputable seller than betting on "to good to be true"

Hobbit - I was there this afternoon and actually ask for the permission to photograph the actual watch - 369 vintage sub..but to no avail as explained this had already been bought by a private owner whom requested anonymous(nity) and low profile.

The shop owner is discreet and did not disclose the buyer.
