slightly off topic, but i do wonder though....

prices are going up and this scarcity thing seems to me quite artificial. what happens later in the year when recession really gets acknowledged and markets drop further, leading to demand and discretionary spending going down with it?

Do these companies stick with the price tag and just destroy surplus stock end of the season? do they dump onto the secondary market? do they sneakily tell their ADs its ok to give more than 15% discount?

I think discounts on Tudor depends on the model and who you're dealing with.

While browsing the ADs at Pavillion, the SA are mostly cocky and snobbishly rub off any idea of a discount but the one I got my blue Pelagos still gave me a little off.

For Tudor, I think it’ll just be business as usual. Maybe no wait at all, and some discount. Instead of having waiting list. Tudor has been doing better and better since they came back. Launching pieces that people want. I doubt they need to go to the path of destroying stock. I don’t think Rolex will be back in stock anytime soon at ADs.

Yeah agree, I think even with the recession demand will still be more than supply, but if it corrects itself, they'll probably let SA give a little discount to get things moving
