A Beautiful Everyday Watch, AÉRONAVALE V2-94 Bell & Ross Vintage

I recently reviewed the Bell & Ross 3rd generation of vintage the Garde-Côtes edition, u can read it here

Heart is pushing myself to acquire the V2-94 Garde-Cotês chronograph, before I get one impulsively, I'm giving myself a second thought on all the V2-94!


Thanks to BR, I hv this opportunity to try on the more elegant  Aéronavale edition, inspired by the French naval Air Force officer ! It's instantly upgraded to this 3rd generation of vintage this year.

First impression!
Watch is about design... the first moment you have it on your hand!

It's beautiful ! I mean it, its a absolutely beautiful!

I'm sure many peoples will like the matching navy blue calfskin leather strap, but my heart is set on the bracelet, having tried on the Garde-cotês proto bracelet.

Always love vintage looking bracelet, but not the quality of it, now u can have both with this!


Side by side with PP nautilus bracelet


Edges are chamfered n polished, no sharp edges through out


The production buckle is very well made finished, much finer than the prototype I reviewed earlier


The added BR logo and center polished, aesthetically it brings up the entire bracelet, some might think it's a scratch magnet.


The fixed Bezel
From Bell & Ross, the design theme is always strong and throughout, it's a navy blue & gold 60min scale bezel that match the dial and markers


Attention to Details
Need no mention brand name, I hv seen watch with different color limited edition dial but the date disc remain unchanged with the normal version. I'm glad BR paying attention to all the details in their design.


Every Day Watch
Fitted with the proven ETA DD module 2894 chronograph with date, with screw lock chronograph pusher and screwed in crown, rated 100m water resistant & all these fitted in the 41mm comfort size stainless steel case, it's a watch for u to wear from Monday to Sunday, day & night !

I might be alone in this but what bugs me with the two B&R images showing supposedly French marine officers wearing the watch, is that it insinuates that the French Marine Nationale endorses the brand and this watch in particular. Which is clearly not the case as it is said that it is an homage. Pure "BS" marketing again.

Been making watches for France special units all the time
Getting inspiration from those unit all the time as well for their watches

All designer hv their source of inspiration

Their French military partners are one section of the military police (GIGN), some pilots among the naval air force and one military school (at the request of the students!).

Raid, Démineurs de la Sécurité Civile and Dassault (aircraft manufacturer) do not belong to the army.

I just find they play too much with the military connection with no support for that.

I am French and have more connection to the army than B&R!

I've always been a huge B&R fan. Since the first day I've started watch collection till today. I've always been a BR01 fellow before the I came to accept the 03. Have always loved the square cases, never really fancies round cases. But this piece has really changed my mind. Drop dead gorgeous in terms of the dial and case construction. Although I do not really fancy the bracelet (though I was never a fan of most bracelets except AP's royal oak's). Still damn beauty.

Agreed. It's tasteful, it's classy (as far as B&R goes!) and it is really very well thought-out.

I too love the old Hanhart red pusher
Unfortunately can’t find good condition and reasonable price one
