Hi  :D A bit on myself? My first mech watch (a graduation gift) was an Oris big crown, i got hooked but I only started collecting watches for the last 4 years in earnest..I collect both vintage and new, and in the family treasure chest is  a couple of  Glashuttes (My favorite vintage), Girard Perregauxs (1 for me, 1 for mom and 1 for the wife), an old gold sealed Hamilton (1st online purchase), a Rostok 18k pocket watch, a Omega Geneve, a Rolex precision, a vintage Longines TV case, a Rado Diastar (a flea market bargain @ RM200), a Bucherer alarm, a vulcain skeleton, Poljots Chronos & a couple others... As u can see,  i spend way too much time on ebay and in vintage watch shops :o (but i get a pass card from the wife by buying her a watch every year ha ha) ;D My newer stuff is the Tissot T touch, Omega Seamaster, Tag and a Movado

Where do u guys shop the most? Where is the best place to service your watches? I use a guy named ..... in Amcorp mall for basic servicing and .... in PJ 33, he is ok but I think they outsource redials/major repair to unknown 3rd party. Any advice on places for reasonably priced redial and major repairs? Kinda prefer to deal with a watch repairer/re dialer directly..

My latest project is a Seiko Lordmatic LM that was my dad's in the 80's that i getting restored in memory of him. I ve currently sent 4 repairing the movt and replacing a cracked crystal

Thanks! Tim

Hi yaptimming,
Sure wish someone had given me an Oris Big Crown for my graduation. Lucky guy.
Welcome and make yourself at home here.

My guess is that :
A) one has nothing better to do but time on one's hand
B) trying to clock-in more post (maybe a seller of sorts)
C) one that doesn't know the time (in this case, year)  :Laughing_on_floor:
