Watch auction. Your experience?
« on: October 19, 2016, 05:39:39 AM »
Hi everyone, I've been in contact with a watch auction company to consider selling off my Reverso Magritte. Might not sell it. Still. Contemplating.

Nonetheless, anyone here have experience buying or selling from a watch auction? Good experience? Bad?

Thanks.

Hi @adamjohari bro. You may want to find out more from Christies auction house official website. Other than commission, many other charges too. They also offer private sales service.

I bought my first Patek thru' Christies back in mid 2000.
I was very anxious as usual cos this my first experience in buying thru an auction.
But all in all it was a wonderful experience, especially when I told Christies that this is my first.
They went all out to explain and guild me thru the whole thing, they made you feel like a Million dollars.
And most of all they offer very good advise on the item that you're purchasing.
Actually I change my mind about the model that I wanted buy and followed their advise.
Which incidentally turns out to be quite an investment.

Remember to consider the buyer premium on successful bid items. Anyway, is a convenience way to bid.
