14060m vs 114060
« on: March 28, 2016, 03:05:53 PM »
All these 5513s...16800s going around...
I just want a clean 2 liner with modern bits and pieces.
Of course one shows up.
Some fun pics...the 114060 was my first, don't think the 14060m will be my last

beautifully clean and simple

totally a strap watch

these 2 are seperated 10 years apart

case comparison

drilled lugs a super must

we all know the differences..just good to see them side by side here

i really like the 'cut outs' on the ceramic bezel

most don't like the maxi lugs..but obviously goes well with the maxi dial and hands.

the 14060 is not as subtle as most would think...nobody does gloss and matte black like Rolex does IMHO.

lume comparo

blue wins it for me

on the wrist

After this, i really feel the 16600 is the best in betweener. Would be fun to get my hands on a sd4k and get some wrist time.
the 14060m is funtastic here for the vintage look with modern tech. The newer model has more bits and bobs on it but works well together.
Which would I chose?

Nice pictures. That means you know how to cherish beauty of both. I personally hate the previous version of bracelet Rolex made. Just my 2 cents.

Very nice. I like the no-date sub because it is just so versatile. Bracelet, nato, vintage leather, all go well with the no-date sub.

I owned a 114060 and would really love to have a 14060 or 14060M if can find one in pre-owned. The design of the 14060 has slimmer lug and a timeless style with pin hole which is more of a tool watch.

the older cases are the only ones that look good on straps . The new casing looks weird to be on strap, be it leather , nato or rubber.  14060 for collection  and 114060 for daily beater  =)

Prefer the feel of the newer 904L steel. Only wish the 114060 didn't have so much writing...
