Your Horology Collection....
« on: April 13, 2015, 10:23:31 PM »
It only take a watch to kick start a never ending journey.

As time pass by, collections start to build up with various reason to back up your purchase. Just wondering how all sifus here build up their collection?

Could it be brand awareness, age, surrounding/background(friends), supporting favorite actor/actress, advertisement, reward and etc ranging from sporty to dress watch or other range of watch..

I buy what I like. And then sell when I no longer bond with the watch. Or I give it away to my relatives...

I get a lot of buyer's remorse so don't go down my path..

I buy based on the movement. Screw the marketing talk.
Each handmade watch is sold with part of the watchmakers soul. The effort to make the watch perfectly flawless like a gem, takes a lot of the watchmakers concentration. You pay for the "Loving attention" they give to each movement and watch.

A man's watch is a very cherished thing. You steal that, you might as well be stealing his soul.
