« on: January 20, 2015, 12:46:30 PM »
First of all, thank you for those to attended, especially those who came from far. Despite short notice, many still holidaying or just back to work, the turn out is good for this year!

Thumbs  for our young organiser, Gigiplastic and other mods who working hard voluntary to make this event happen, truly appreciated everyone who contributed for this.

Not to Forget - Big Thank You to

1. Wotancraft hand crafted strap for sale
for sponsoring the lucky draw prizes

2. Isofrane
for giving us discount vouchers

both companies are making best quality straps in this world.

While waiting for our Mr. Organizer for his report, i start the pictorial report rolling...

every1 is welcome to contribute!

Gigi Official Report will begin:

On the 17 January 2015, Malaysia Watch Forum have successfully organised its 6th Annual Get Together held at Taman Sari Brassiere @ Hotel Istana. Eventough the turnout was smaller than expected; the end result was more interaction between the attendee.

What follows is the photo report of the event:

Venue of the event and the official poster thanks to Bobo:

Event was supposed to start at 6.30pm for all participants to migle around before dinner time. However due to weather decide to give the are some good ol’ heavy rain, many of the participants got stuck in the rain  ended up reaching late.
So those who made it earlier just randomly chit chat and random photo

Eventually participants starts to come in waves so the place start to fill up and once I done ticked all those who made is proceed to the makan/further interaction of members. Following is the faces of the participants who attended the event.

About the food, I am sorry to disappoint you that there are aint any food pics to be presented here because all of us are too absorbed into looking at watches. Sorry to those who crave for food porn.

One of the random wrist shot of participants, I did not take much cos I am doing something else at the same time.

Here come the most important part of the GTG, the group shot of the watches that participants brought in. In my opinion, many brand were represented in the table shot which is a good thing.

The event program is the lucky draw for the  participants, all the prizes cosists of Wontancraft Straps (BIG SHOUT OUT TO YOU FOR YOUR STRAPS ) and some other merchandise like shirts and caps.

Photo below are the winner of the lucky draw:

Before we end the event we gathered for the last time for the big group shot.

I really hope everyone enjoyed this GTG and really sorry if I did any mistake during the time, I gotta to do multiple role at one time so that explains the lack of photo of the main star which is watchesssss.

My pics are not as nice as Chris'.... I know nuts about photography... lol
Here goes

AP Ceramic diver.
This was my initial target last year.
Glad I was able to molest it irl.

Feel awesome on the wrist.

A 38mm El Primero.
One of the best chronographs for the money.

The boutique exclusive JLC Master Perpetual Calendar.
Jam packed with technical goodness in a slim 39mm stainless steel case.

IWC Ingenieur.

Pam 587 Marina Militaire.
Huge at 47mm...

JLC Geophysics in Platinum.
There are lume dots on the rehaut.

JLC Compressor Dual Time GMT.
One of the watches that really caught my attention.
Nice size and built overall.
Until I know this is a discontinued model... sigh.

Blancpain Bathyscape.
A watch that caught me entirely by surprise as well.
Awesome watch and super comfortable on the wrist.
Setting new sights!! hehehe

One of the ladies wearing a Bell & Ross BR03 Golden Heritage...

Zenith Montre D'Aeronef Type 20 40mm.
I thought this was a small watch, On nato? Voila... Instantly wearable.

A Grand Seiko.
Do not know much about Grand Seikos still...

An IWC Perpertual Calendar.
A very nice and technical piece of work.

A classic Reverso...
If only they fit on my wrists... sigh
Still cannot get over the metal pieces inside the strap.

A Carl F Bucherer Scubatec.
Mike was quite passionate about this piece which really surprised me considering he is strapped with a Bathyscape on the other wrist.
But I can see why.
Excellent details and solidly built.

I have this pic too...

Table shots.

Sorry about the poor quality pics.
Although the camera is with me for a couple of years already, I am still a noob when it comes to taking pictures.

All in all, it's a successful event.
Even better than last year.
Most if not all watch brands are represented.
Tiring trip, long night, all worth it.
Thanks to all the organizers and those who took the trouble to entertain me before the annual dinner.
Until next year...

Great report. Thanks to Chris, Hanz, Clicko and Meor for sharing their very nice pics of the event.
We should all give a big round of applause to Gigi for organizing the event and to Jacky and Bobo for lending a helping hand.

And a big thank you to our sponsors:

i) Wotancraft for the fantastic hand crafted leather straps for the lucky draw.
ii) WWII for the WOW magazines as door gifts.
iii) Watch Connection for providing RM100 discount vouchers for Isofrane rubber straps, premier straps made for divers.

I had a great time meeting many new members and there were a good number of new faces this year and catching up with the regular group of supporters. I'm certain all of us had a roaring good time with the nice food, great company and fantastic timepieces.

As always I'm looking forward to next year's event.

Thank you all for the wonderful time, I went with just 1 watch on my wrist and came back with 2 (thanks to the lucky draw!). The CWC watch I won from the lucky draw is great, nice patina and keeping great time for a watch dating back to 1982.

Here's a wrist shot!
