Hi david,

Off topic a little, were you by any chance at KLCC's Emotus during lunch time yesterday?

Thanks

Armereth

Yes, I was there. Having a full seminar day at the KLCC (Convention centre). Thought I saw you with your partner - the moment I went out of the shop. Are you the one asking to look at the Zeno -chrono?..

Sorry , cannot remember the facial and was in a hurry - rushing back to the centre.

Ha ha..

I was the person checking out the Zeno manual winding watch. I passed you the watch to look at the movement. You then said the movement number and the salesman gave a surprise look. Ha ha... thanks for that. Then i asked "it is worth it?" and you said yeah especially at that discount (too bad the forum prevented me from naming the % discount, especially since takashi is looking at sub1k manual winding watch... hint hint hint)

Anyway when you leave I have a glimpse of your tag with your name on it. I know the name...

I am now serously considering the watch... will decide by tomorrow.

Cheers

Aiyah

so you are armereth....the world is damm small..Yeah man, you removed your own watch to try out the Zeno manual watch and I wanted to say; hey. do not put your watch just on the glass panel....

True, I was displaying my name tag all over the KLCC, till the salesperson stared at my tag and only I realised it.

That manual , just 1 pc left, so hurry man. But would you agreed with me that the exposed movement is a bit rough (not fine like other swiss 6948), but then, thats the dollar you pay.

Give a shout, if you decided to get the watch and good luck to you if the watch is still there.
While you are there, do check out the Fortis with lemania movement.....
We go 'yam char' some other time. ok?...

Hi ck77

Gigi (Abel) can answer to that question. He and his friend had tried out that watch. I believe he knows the price better. I was in a hurry that day and did not actually view that watch. They are having great discount. Grand sales matter of facts.

Ha ha.. The world is indeed small. Had i got the time, I would have introduce my self then and get your sifu opinion on that watch. I am new to watch so will really appreciate your feedback. Your take on the rough movement is a perfect example of what i overlooked. Also about me leaving my watch on the glass panel. Never thought of it being careless. Hmmm... got to be more careful. Thanks for that

I know about the fortis but as I am not actually looking to get anything, I have no actual budget for a expensive watch. The Zeno was more of an impulse. Unless the Fortis is about the same price as the Zeno, I wouldn't want to consider it. And the way the shop hide the price tag is not helping either. I have told them to just put the price out so that it is easy for me and them but they just said its their policy to hide. Sigh

Anyway, will let you know how it goes tomorrow.

Cheers

Armereth, you welcome.

Yeah, both of us are rushing through the lunch hour...
Hiding the price tag is one sure way to start a conversation between salesperson and customer. Surely if you are interested, you would start enquire about the price.. and thats when the salesperson goes for a kill...thats is, if he/she has good sales tactic...esp. if a person is buying on impulse

good luck.

Thanks to Alex and Peter for inputs.

Must remember to take some photos...ok..

Actually, I am wearing the GMT Master T < 25. All black. (Not I or II), sapphire glass. This model is using the slimiest case ever for these sport models. Very comfortable wear,  a pc that’s in transition from the last batch of plastic lens to 1st batch on sapphire glass.
