Safely pocketed a nice watch to bring in the new year. Hope to figure out a way to get another before end of year. Next year is gst and lots of uncertainty.

It seems to be quite common that the watch collecting trajectory is akin to a bell curve....starting out and favouring quantity and ending with quality sans the number. Have seen quite a number of forum members having this outlook.

I second that idea. One for rough use, one for casual and one formal... oh and maybe spares for each in case they are sent for service...

My 2014 resolution is to change my daily wear to a Rolex(model to be decided) and another dress watch, perhaps Rado Hyperchrome suits my wardrobe.

I'd like to polish my Traditional Chinese writing skills and calligraphy, also hope to pick up another oriental language.

as for watches, try to resist all the goodies and use all my will to avoid any expansion of my collection
