Newbie watch nerd
« on: November 26, 2013, 11:30:51 AM »
Hi, I was actually searching for how and where to repair my friends watch when i chanced upon this forum.
I do read a bit on the technicalities of watch making and i'm very fascinated by the art.
As such, I'm more interested in theorizing how a watch works with all its springs, levers, wheels and such. I hardly remember watch movement calibres or how they came to be, such information is freely available on the internet anyhow.
I don't really care of the prices and collectivity of a brand since i can't afford jackshit, I have a G-shock and a few Swatches, but nowadays i go by my handphone clock.  :P
I'm a nerd, a sexy one  :mooning: I'm a guy, don't solicit me please.
Cheerio! :Dancing_banana:
Each handmade watch is sold with part of the watchmakers soul. The effort to make the watch perfectly flawless like a gem, takes a lot of the watchmakers concentration. You pay for the "Loving attention" they give to each movement and watch.
