would like to share with you guys 2 of my buddies for diving..
The luminox Navy seal Orange colormark.

it's light and i like the silicone strap the most.

the cheaper alternative for Ball..orange H3 gas tube.


with my Seiko Atlas a.k.a Seiko Landshark

Aisehman , this Luminox looking uber cool , the orangy numbers and marks are strikingly Stand out.

Quick question, do you really look at your watch when you were 10 meters undersea ; hows the visibility like ? I only do snorkeling and i can still tell the time when i 'dive' in at the depth of  4 - 5 m .

I really like the tritium gas tubes on the Luminox. 
As a self confessed desk diver I have one question for the real divers out there: In a real dive, do the Tritium gas tubes outperform the more conventional Luminova?

when a diver is down below, then a dive watch/computer is the primary timing/safety device; if diving with a computer, then the watch is a secondary or backup timing device.
planning is crucial for each and every dive,
says, a planned dive profile allow the diver to dive at a certain max depth for 30 minute,upon diving into the water,he can use the bezel to time the dive,adjust the bottom time 30 minute a head of the minute hand.By looking at the watch and refering to the depth gauge he will know when to ascent to the surface this is crucial because the ascending time and speed will help to prevent decompression sickness.
A dive computer is a better choise because you can preset everything before the dive. 

The tritium gas tube is better because it's clearer, brighter and it lasts longer!
Visibility during dives vary.It's not only occurs between different dive sites. Even at one site visibility may vary over a fairly short period of days.basically it's due to the current and weather.
The tritium gas tube will defintely outperform the conventional luminescent marker in a night dive!

Btw, when i desk dive, I too using Computer Maybe I call it a Desk-dive-computer

Thanks for the clear & lengthy explaination CK, my one and only scuba dive was in Bali. It only lasted 20 mins and i called it off due to can't stand the under water pressure. It was really embarrasing back there since we were bargaining for longer dive time and those folks agreed LOL.

As for night dive CK, isn't that light and reflective object ( your watch ) are advised to keep off sight to prevent aggression of undersea predator like Barracuda or other fish with attacking behaviour ?

Shoudn't be any problem i think as during night dive the divers will be using a torchlight too..It's far more brighter than a watch.

Recently a watch retailer at Pertama Complex informed me that they would be bringing in the automatic chronograph Luminox LE. I'm thinking such a Luminox may be worth considering especially if the price is right.

Not City Time. Gold Watch. I usually go to them for Seiko, Alba etc.

it's light and the strap is really comfortable.
