yeah i'm not great when infront of a crowd hehe... love watches and talk one on one but when more than 10 I get to nervous

Great event. Just one question. How does the owner keep an eye on his collection with so many people looking plus he wants to go and look at the collection of others? Is there a no-touching policy? Or are they extra security measures?

one of the complaint was that the owner of the watch couldn't walk around much to look at other's collection. We couldn't provide any locker or exhibition case for it would be too costly...
security is always an issue to us. We take measures within our capacities in ensuring the safety but all participants were duly informed that the responsibilities belong to the owner of the collection itself.
On the other note, the organizer were ready to take measure such as locking down the hall, and getting the authorities in case anything happened. All participants have to register with their I.C numbers, and we checked the I.C during registration. We also ran background check on all participants as much as we possibly could.We did refuse a few applications through out the 6 months preparations
Of course the above would be meaningless if something bad really happen on that day. For which we are blessed it did not happen. I would not say , we have done the best, but with our limited resources that is the best we could offer.

I see. Kudos to the whole H4U team on the event. It takes a lot of effort to organise these sort of event so I take my hat off to the team.

i have very weird feeling now...i feel empty now that all is done
exact same feeling I had when I broke up with my ex years ago....
i guess...i like having some project in hand ....:) Last week when the date is nearing, I thought I had enough....
but turns out, i missed the whole project management things...:)....i feel really empty now...not a good feeling
anyway, just to share, yesterday we had RTM, Bernama TV, The Star, Utusan, Berita Harian and NSTP reporters coming ...been interviewed many times. Dont know when will they publish it...just check it out....::

this is my first gtg and H4U event. Enjoyed it immensely. Brought all of my collection with me to the show. Although makes it next to impossible to visit other exhibitors (next time I will bring along a friend to be my watch minder!) this format is the best. the though of having locked display cabinets did come to my mind when presented with this problem. however, I realised that the key point of such event it to allow people to look, feel and talk to the owners of the watches to appreciate them. possible solution is to stagger the exhibitors to time slots i.e. allow everyone the chance to see other ppls collections.

was there for the event. caught up with meor with his evergrowing wonderful collection. brought my collection there but was a bit shy to put on display but nonetheless congrats on a fine showing and i am sure this will be one of the many more improved events coming in the future.

All these mails' sender claiming they got to know me through h4u
In fact I didn't turn up for the event last minute due to personal reason

I have also received some unsolicited emails stating the H4U mailing list as their source of information.
I'm wondering if the mailing list or contact database for H4U have been compromised or made available to 3rd parties without registrants' consent?

I just realized that in one of my email to all , instead of "bcc to" so that the email address wont appear, i accidently choose wrong column so it become "send to" and all email is visible. My mistake. I am working on it now
I do not know the sender of the email you guys mention, and he act without our blessing and referring to our name without consent.
We did not sell any information to anyone....but i guess, this thing will definitely tarnish our name.

I'm surprise no 1 interested to post some photo of watches
I'm disappointed for not being to attend last minute to see n molest some rare timepieces
