To tell you the truth, I was not so much a Panerai fan. I believe that it is a brand that you will either love of hate it, there is nothing gray about that.
I was so much in Rolex, and was thinking becoming a one brand collector.
After getting more information through most of watch forums in the net, I noticed that most Rolex collectors will also have PAM in their collection, hence the close relation of Rolex to earlier Panerai...
So... having a SS Submariner Date with black dial & Polar Explorer II, I started to wonder which PAM to collect and trade with one of the Rollies...
I have to keep the Sub Date, so Polar had to go (I am not so much attached sentimentaly with my things if you notice. I will let them go if there is a need).
By replacing Polar, I need to replace it with another white dial... hence a white dial PAM..
There are two options, either preowned PAM 113 or PAM 114 that are sort of within my budget. Looking around, found 2 places offering one of those.... but they should be willing to take my Polar at reasonable trade value.
The major difference between those two are:
1. Seconds Hand: 113 with vs 114 without
2. Movement calibre: 113 OP XI vs 114 OP X
What happen next? I opt for the 114 mint H series...Why?
1. Cheaper ma...
2. Better trade in lah...
3. Classic 2-hand macha....

Anti-reflective coating.
Water-resistance: 30 bar (~300 metres).
Strap: leather with PANERAI personalised buckle.
Overall Feel:
Although with 44 mm case size, it sits well on my medium size wrist (using the 2nd last rubber strap's hole). It is not so much recognised as PAM design due to its dial color. Love its simplicity without much complications. The weight is tolerable... as I am also used to Sub's weight (well, I feel naked without the watch weight feel)
Well... I am a Pam lover now...
