Is the Nomos with alpha manual movement?

Never found the desire to manually wind watches.

That's a pretty nice start. Do get to know the characters of a watch that you are fond of, and refine your collection slowly in the future.

sweet collection there! I've always considered having a German in my collection too but havent found a suitor, but that Nomos is tempting!

You're right some German watches in the collection seems to be a good investment, the dream would be to own an A. Lange & Söhne, perhaps also maybe a Glashütte, Nomos or a Junghans as a start.
