Was down in the factory again and was going to pick up a U1 for one of our brother here.

Unfortunately it was not fated to be so. Due to the low exchange rate of the Euro, everyone has been cleaning them off their more popular models. You need to pre-order it beforehand before you go down to pick it up.

Btw Dennis, the VAT rebate is 19% instead of 16%. Got it wrong.

Also spoke to the Customer Service, and got wind that every single part both internal and external is suppose to be under warranty. So i would have to call THG again.

Did not take much photos since everyhting is much the same except the new U200. Just like the car, the Mini is more expensive than the regular U1. Does it jsutify the hefty price? U guys debate bout it  :-\

The Sinn U1 (with PVD coating) shown in third pic also not avail?? that u1 looks great also...

could check it out for you again... i will be here till tuesday. sorry jsut asked about the U1 and U2.

if you want the U1 SDR i can call the factory to check it out. the price is 1050 euro.

Do you always call up the factory before you go visit each time or just walk in?

You think cheaper to buy from the source or AD's since they give discount?

i not sure abt the Sinn selling price in M'sia...i am prety sure tat atleast 15%-20% cheaper thn SG's AD (after 35% disc fr AD) if buy from direct source and some more this is before VAT rebate...if u want i can PM u the Sinn U1 selling price in SG and Frankurt...cheers

Its ok.
Just wanted to find some reasoning in buying frm the source itself than AD.

Just like some like to buy frm boutique coz they get the extra service and attention but more expensive.

i just normally walk in ..cause i am naive enough to think that since they are making it there, they would have all models in stock  :D

the factory sells the watches at MRSP with a 19%VAT rebate. i am not sure how much it is selling in both malaysia and singapore. so maybe someone can provide me the details.

U200 is 1450 euro
U1 is 990 euro
U1 SDR 1050

so take 19% off that price and you get a round figure of the price you'll be paying.

MRSP for Sinn U1 in SG is around sgd 3450 before discount, however the discount can go up to **%. Mods pls delete this if inappropiate.

Just Recieved my Sinn U1 SDR tegimented and U1 is one my grail since 2008. I will post up the pic and review later in another thread as my sis in law borrow my cam for Sammi concert :Scolding:. Once again Thank you Terrence, Kudos to u and nice to meet u. :thumbsup:

I wonder I could still buy a pair Sinn U1 Black in Msia? Wedding anni is coming up in may. Could I still get it? and where? or there are other suggestions for a couple watch. Btw I a noob.

1 side my original rubber strap gone already...i try to cut the strap to the last hole due to my tiny wrist and i accidently over cut it... :Mad:

online Sinn is selling for 1030 Euro...

wahhahaha now i gues we know why they sell the rubber strap per side and not a pair!!!  :laugh:

sad to hear that bro... will let u know my next trip there and get u another side.

take ur U1 down to THG and ask them to resize if for you.

But i guess with strap designs like this after you size it, a person with larger or smaller wrist cant wear your watch anymore.

Postal charges is Euro85. Could I find a better deal locally? Appreciate very much if I could get some pointers.  :)

Thks for pointing out, but I dont know where could I buy this locally. I am "poison" by the U1 SDR with rubber strap. I am uncertain of where to buy and how much I would need to pay for it locally. I would appreciate some sifus to share some of their knowledge on where to buy and how much to expect. Thks
