I was thinking, can we just send the bracelets for repair / replacement / inspection / warranty claim and etc?

Or vice versa, sending the head and keeping the bracelets because I heard many horror stories that watch send to service, come back with scratches

Han...

Instead of sending the 'whole' watch, ask your AD tech to remove the bracelet only and send for rectification works...be it replacement or repair on the clasp.

dc

That was what I thought initially but since I need the watch to go through a B1 service to validate the 3rd year warranty, mind as well send in the whole watch and get it done as well.

As for horror stories of the watch coming back with scratches, let's just say that I will keep my eyes open for that.
I can't be avoiding these things because of fear as I will need to send it in for service every 5 years too right?

I will be very interested to see how this all plays out.

I'm keeping an eye on this issue. Luckily a small matter of a screw coming off a non-critical part.

Meanwhile, maybe you need a backup AP ??   :HammerHead:

 ;D ;D

Sneaky fella.. which one are you getting????

Depending on how they are serious of keeping me as a customer after this.
This whole experience might either elevate the brand's status in my heart, or fall to the ground.
Until then, let's just wait...  ;D

I've been here before with AP albeit with a different problem.  I'd be happy to share it privately if you want to PM me but my advice is pull the watch and personally take it down to th SC. 1 month is nonsense.  I am a member of other forums and such issues are more common than you would think.....

Do share, it wouldn't do the brand any good by sweeping problems under the carpet.
Better let it out in the open.
No one is going to delete your post here because you posted a problem you have with your AP, that much I know.

Nothing worse than to send an expensive++ watch back to repair for things like these.

I've had to send back Omegas (just stopped working, damaged bezel), Breitlings (chronograph kong), Bell&Ross (noticeable defect on lume), Longines (internal bezel stopped working). Sometimes I think these luxury watch brands seems to be coasting on their reputation and letting these defects through their QA.
 >:( >:( >:( >:( :HammerHead:

i'd the same experience with JLC, Rolex and Zenith...i've kinda gotten used to it..no big deal...as long as they deal with it asap and have good after sales service...

oh i forgot to add that i couldn't screw in my AP rubber crown....and since it's due for a service...the service centre changed the crown and yes i'd to pay for it.

Small matter, Han. If the SC in SG have the parts it will be fixed in no time.

The wait is due to the shipment dates. There is cycle of pickup and send off from SC to Boutique and vice versa. If you're lucky then you will catch the exact date however if you're not (mean you send the watch in between interval) then the wait is longer.

Being the claps is a new design it is bound to have manufacture fault. I suspect is the metal integrity of the screw has problem. Maybe the thread has worn off.

I have good experience with AP service. I just don't like the price  :D

Regard
Tyler

Woah, u really were keeping an eye on this matter.
I got it back 2 days ago.
Was about to update.
6 weeks on the dot.

They only screwed in a new pusher.
I did not get a whole new clasp... what a bummer...
AD told me the turnaround time of 6 weeks is OK compared to other brands.
She mentioned for Mont Blanc, turnaround time is 3 months "at least", customer have to agree before they send it out.

I got my watch back wrapped in plastic, no extra scratches that I can see.
So, I am satisfied.
Would have been better if they were to change the whole clasp... oh well...

Would have been a lot faster if they just shipped a new pusher and screw to the AD for self-repair.

Actually, I am about to jump on one model from AP but the recent bad press from different folks on different forums is making me cautious.
