Hi David, JPSP, Thanks for the help :)

I've purchased a leather box from House of Leather after searching around for a while. I choose one without the display glass, reason is I'm afraid the watches might hit the glass and scratch if I accidently drop the box ;D. Quality and look wise I think JPSP's showing one is much better.

Actually a lot watch winder can be found in KL.. Maybe you can try Starhill, Sungai Wang and some other AD...but those are a bit expensive...

Lower end selling around MYR600 but it can only put one and i'm not sure about the quality that why until today, i haven't got one for myself yet  :-[

Is good if someone here can help give us some review for the one you using now maybe great ;)

Cheers!

Hi

I saw a winder by 'abritus' at the summit the other day. This single winder had no timer but with a switch on/off button, where you can actually 'charge' your auto watch by switching on for the next 10-20 minutes and switch off again until your next call of operation. (Watch repairer has this type of 'flywheel' type with manual on/off button).

I personally feel this type of design/operation is ideal as you could switch on, let it run for the next couple of minutes, then switch off and repeat the same operation in the next 24 hours. This also beats your manual winding of every 30-40 turns of your expensive auto watch.

This single watch winder takes approx. RM250-300 plus. (if I am not mistaken)

On a special note, Last Sunday, I did went to Sunway and purchased the storage watch box (10 compartments). Good finishing though.

My 2 cts worth.

I bought a winder from ebay for usd74.63. It can wind two watches with 4 different mode. Have been using it for few days now, so far no problem and the operation is reasonably quite. Will write a full review later.

If you have just purchased an automatic/self-winding watch, or if you plan to invest in one, you should know that a watch winder is a necessary accessory. The function of an automatic watch winder is to keep the timepiece wound when it is not in use. Therefore, it is very important to know how to purchase a quality product to keep your watch in the best shape for a long time.

Got two types:

1. The T414C series (see the specs below). It has 4 turntables plus a drawer for 6 watches with individual cushions and slots.

Specifications:
Size (L x W x H) (cm) : 49.8 x 15.0 x 21 Power On/Off switch, Directional (CW, CC+CW)
Super silent motor, Voltage 230v
Fixed TPD : 1000 turns/day
Adjustable cushion for 4 winder with 6 pillows
Weight 5.30kg
12 months limited warranty

Powered on continously for the last 4 months - still functioning: location 1st floor of AmCorp Mall (T*S Shop). Pricey @RM1k but the wood finishing is superb.

2. Diplomat Burl Wood Double Watch Winder with Off-White Leather Interior and 4 Program Settings

Got this via Ama*on for USD60. Although advertised as "Burl Wood", actually plastic after unwrapping it - but it works.
