I like the dial design of the new aquatimer, but too bad they upsize the whole thing. Glad i have the older version of aquatimer. Its more like they reinterpret the porsche designed iwc for this release. :)

saw the video, interesting way of turning the bezel and quick strap changing

but i'm wonder how well is the bezel turn especially when you are twisting something outside to rotate inner bezel, say if you are diving will the water goes inside? really love to see in technical spec on how does it done  :shocked1:

I think normal people like us will not dive until 1000m nor 500m... In my opinion, design act very important role to meet the market requirement.

Rolex get best seller because it is Rolex, no offense. For example, you ask Malaysia uncle "rolex good or not?" and following by "Breitling good or not?" i think he will reply you what is Breitling.

Personally, I prefer it this way. In many ways, I'm a purist when it comes to a tool watch or any watch for that matter. I'd like my divers watch to have a solid caseback as how it is traditionally done.

The only new Ingenieur that appeals to me is the basic automatic model, which has a solid caseback and truly anti-magnetic.

Oh and only half the Pilot series that is truly anti-magnetic with solid caseback. They are selling rather well, FYI. Are they meeting market demand? I think so. Big Pilot is as iconic as ever.

It's true that I'm not going deep-diving or walk inside a power plant anytime soon, but it's the purist in me that demands my watches to fit those description technically, after all, that's why I'm willing to pay that much to own it.

Gone are the days where "you can have any color you want as long as it is black". Customers are spoilt with choices and it is not wrong to ask for what you want as a paying customer. As to whether the owner actually uses the watch as it should be it is not important now as before. You buy a watch because of its brand, its design, the color, the way it works and functions and how it is constructed. Everyone has his preference over one watch from the other.

Aquatimer SIHH 2014 booth...

2011 Portofino year, you take picture with a Vespa...

2012 Pilot year, there was a flight simulation...

2013 Ingenieur year, they had the F1 car simulation...

I wonder what interactive component this year... banana boat?  :Laughing_on_floor:
