how sad. luckily the children were not hurt. hopefully, this is all insured and the losses will be less.
the maids would not be able to carry this out without outside help. the loot would have been disposed instead of being kept by the maids. i won't be surprised if this was planned and executed by local crooks and the role of the maids would only be to get the loot out to them.
as to the regret to trusting the maids and no matter how well are treated, well all i can say is let karma handle them. these hi-flyers tend to place too much trust in outsiders. so long as the maid lives in, there is always a security risk.

Yes, I saw a Sub., Breitling, AP, a Citizen (I think).
Well, the thing to learn is never trust your maids. Watches stolen can claim from insurance company. Lucky thing the children are not harmed.

The watches alone count close to 200k (second hand value probably 75k :P ) What kind of person keeps 500k cash at home :o

well, their collections appear to be rather messy. Look like trying to own every single brands including mont blanc. but keeping so much cash at home is no good.

Most of them are rather flashy. That seem to be theme. Funny thing is there's not one single gold watch! ???

OMG. If they can keep RM500,000 at home i wonder how much they have in the bank..Actually, having that much cash is sometimes useful during emergency. I have a fren of mine working in third world country where he needs to keep at least RM12,000 all the time with him just in case he needs to catch the next flight back to Malaysia.

i also suspect a scam.
kinda interesting that they have pics of all that was stolen, including the exact jewelry that was missing.
i'm sure they got way more other jewelry, so why just take pics of only those...
