Coming back to a few annual festive holiday topics.
#1. What's your favourite watch purchase in 2020?
#2. Looking to buy anything in December?
#3. Wishlist for 2021?

Stay healthy and let look forward to a happy 2021

Replying to my old thread.
#1. My favourite is also my latest purchase, a black dial Omega SM 300 in rubber

I didn't get to shop much in 2020 and I get the "no stock" reply all the time when come to Rolex, Tudor, even Cartier and Grand Seiko. So I did a lot of online shopping and purchased an unprecedented amount of quartz, here's my quartz family pic, all purchased this year.

#2. I have no plan to buy new watches in December, unless I got a call from AD for, ..... Well, we can always hope Santa will drop by with a ticket to jump the "queue"

#3. For 2021, I am looking forward to add a Rolex Sub, or some new LE from Blancpain

Nice C4All...I got myself an ExpII recently too...

2020 for me...PAM 90 and 216570...

I wear my PAM90 more often but still love the ExpII...

by virtue of more wrist time, PAM90 it is...

Everyone seems to be getting a 216570 so they must be easily available so maybe they're really going to be discontinued next year?

And why are grey dealers selling at a premium?

Based on all the replies, I supposed Rolex market share in Malaysia is really, really, high.

I bought only a handful of watches this year; Rolex has been impossible to acquire without spending ridiculous monies in a short amount of time, whilst AP and PP still remain way out of reach. Not only are the watches in short supply, but I find that the SA experience (at least for me) has gotten more ridiculous -- I asked to try on a watch on display: 126610LV and 114060, just to have an impression of size... and was told they didn't have the key.

I find I am asking myself what I really like with watches, and I want to keep within my ideal two-box "collection". One box of 8 nice watches, and a box of 5 beater watches. However, I find myself constantly looking at Seikos... so this year, I bought three: SPB199J1 ("Mountain Glacier" Alpinist), SLA019 ("Forest Green" MM300) and (surprising, even to myself) a Grand Seiko SBGE201. Picking a favourite is difficult; especially considering the GS has only been with me for some 24 hours, but this is easily between the SLA019 and SBGE201.

Currently, king of the hill has to be the SLA019, but this may change in some days (when the GS gets, hopefully, more wrist time).

#2
No, not really. If any of the three watches on my list somehow materializes, I'm ready. Otherwise, I am very contented with what I have. After all, the box is already full. I want to adhere to my 1-in 1-out policy as well.

#3
Again, nothing has been really exciting for me in 2020, so this goes back to #2; Rolex GMT, Omega Speedmaster, AP Royal Oak.

Interesting. Here is mine;

#1 My only notable acquisition is the 114060 which I bought in lieu of the Black Bay Blue which was sold by the AD
#2 Having missed out on the G-Shock x John Mayer, I do not think I have anymore incoming for the year
#3 Will see what is announced then as nothing currently is interesting me.

This is because you already have all the interesting pieces.....

And it's a lot easier to get a BB Blue now if you still want it

That's a very nice GS. Now you can start checking out the dressier models from GS

Your Rolex boutique experience sounded terrible. That's why I hate going into shops these days

Mine would be the Cartier tank for my better half for our 10th Anniversary.
A little extra special because of the cartier at the Roman X.  :)

Nothing for December as I kinda blew all my watch funds on this.

Wishlist for 2021 would be my own first foray into the luxury watch world.
There are several that come to mind:

Speedy
GS Snowflake
BB58

But...doubt it. Gotta be thrifty in this uncertain times.

Which Submariner Date? The new one or the 5 / earlier 6 digits?

As it turned out, one month is a long time, especially for December when I surfed more. So I busted my budget and have an incoming. Will share pic when I arrived

My favourite is the MOP Daytona. Besides that, I bought the limited M S Dhoni from Panerai, the Explorer, IWC Portugieser 2020 version and now awaiting the Omega Snoopy from Spain (1st on waiting list at one of the shops there) the Snoopy might be a 2021 collection favourite. Was lucky to have bought both Rolexes from AD
