Title: Watch Tools
Post by: genec on December 20, 2010, 10:44:10 PM
Dear Moderators, I dont know if I could post this or not. The reason I'm posting this link is because yesterday I embarked on a journey to buy a spring bar tool in CA to change the strap on my new watch =D............but sadly.....there arent many places that sells them....I dont want to buy online because its nearing christmas time and I know I wont be able to get it in time... luckily I found this place in Oakland...this place is amazing, you can find absolutely anything you want in here. I'm not sure the price is cheaper or not. but definitely can get anything you want. and they ship overseas aswell. I'm not gaining anything financially from posting this.
just thought that, if you are same like me, itching to buy tools online, but dont want to buy it from amazon or ebay. you may try them.
I will not post the commercial link to the website.
but you can search on google for Frei and Borel.

Hopefully I'm not breaking any forum rules here............I'm putting my head on the table for you guys! hahaha

Happy holidays!

Normally the tool for the strap removal of watches with leather straps would work with most watches. The problem is with the metal bracelet. The opening for the spring bars differs from brands to brands. So you may need a narrow head spring bar remover as compared to one for leather straps.

This tools can't remove extra link from the bracelet... You still need proper tools for sizing the bracelet...(if u want to) ;)

Think not going to size the bracelet, when buying watch.. will ask the shop to do it.

There are many choices of leather straps available in the web, so it will be nice to have one of this tool just to change the bracele to strap or strap to another colour/design strap, etc..
