The Longines Zulu Time GMT 39mm had been a hit with watch enthusiasts since its release in 2023. Arguably one of the best value GMT from a reputable Swiss brand. It is a spec monster with almost all you ever want for a travel watch, COSC certified traveler GMT movement, extended power reserve of 72 hours, 5 point micro adjust clasp, bidirectional rotating bezel, perfect lug to lug size of 47mm, 100m of water resistance with a screw down crown.
This is elevated to the next level in Hodinkee's limited edition collaboration between Hodinkee and Longines -
1) The watch is made entirely from grade 5 titanium (not grade 2), the case, bezel, bracelet - This is a super lightweight metal and stronger, it has double the hardness of 316L stainless steel. Grade 5 titanium is a titanium alloy usually only used in high end watches as it is expensive and harder to machine. Don't confuse this with other titanium watches which are pure titanium, i.e. grade 2 titanium used in Tudor Pelagos 39 which scratches easier.
3) This watch weights only 100g vs 140g compared to the steel version, the wearing experience is completely different and it is hypoallergenic.
4) Hodinkee had designed the dial for maximum legibility - the dial is a no-nonsense pure black matte finish, clean dial with minimal text, no more 5 stars uber rating on the dial.
5) The ugly and cheap looking "Longines" on the clasp is replaced with Longines logo

Condition is still mint with only minor hairline scratches on the clasp due to desk diving. Unfortunately, letting go of this watch to fund a grail as I simply have too many watches and this is not getting enough wrist time. Selling at a loss here as I paid the full retail price of USD3,800 as well as import duty to ship it to Malaysia. My loss is your gain.
