Toyota Camry 2015
« on: April 06, 2015, 08:38:49 AM »
beside the facelifted, better looking front

the 2015 Camry Hybrid seems like a bargain, with all latest tech and spec, eg keyless entry, push start, blue tooth, navigator, with even the wireless handphone charger...

more to my surprise is the 2.0 liter engine, 0-100kmh reduce 2.1 second compare to its predessecor

It's about time the phase out the archaic 2.0 engine with 4 speed auto.
This new engine should have come sooner.
Competitors are already using some really modern stuff.
As for the hybrid, no comment... belum try... hehehe

This Camry Hybrid should be very similar to the Lexus CT200h technologically, except with bigger engine.

Should this be available before I bought the CT200h, it would have been my preferred choice. Anyway, after driving the CT200h for 3+ years, I must say the Toyota / Lexus brand do have their utmost right to claim their "reliability" reputation.

There will always be a Hybrid car in my family. I like its quietness & green features.

This model is the talk of the town now.

Coffee shop talk you heard ppl talking about this model.

Because of the limited time of incentives given for the CKD hybrid.

If no extension from the gov. the incentives shall expired by this year end. After the expiry the price without tax incentive will be RM250k.

This happen to CBU llike Prius,  Prius C,  Audi Hybrid A6 etc

Pretty much a limited edition for this model. Grab fast if you are considering changing car.

Toyota is one of the pioneers in hybrid technology. The new Camry hybrid will incorporate all that Toyota has learnt from their Prius hybrid and more. So if you are looking for a everyday hybrid car that's economical and reliable, few come close to a Camry hybrid.

2.1secs shaved off, believe due to the electric motors giving seamless push to drastically reduce time.

Yes the improvement in acceleration time is coming from the additional boost generated by the electric motor.

CVT and the lack of a conventional tachometer are slight turnoffs for me

I think is competitively priced but the still prefers the look of the previous model. This model looks a bit weird, especially the exterior...just a personal opinion:)

Toyota Camry is a good car but umw put the wrong decision for 2012 model. No vsc and trc but add back after 10 months. This is not fair to their royal customers.
