Don't know what is AF is doing tinkering the line-up during the Premier League matches.
He should have done that in the friendly. Looking at the way it goes, ManC will be favourite at this point of time. But I am sure the red half of Manchester will be following closely.
My pick for the top 4 (till the halfway mark of the season) - Man C, Man, United, Arsenal and Chelsea. A close catch up will be Spurs and "Northern Rock".
-
Man United to the death! Lol
I think the biggest threat would still be Man City. Mancini kept mentioning Man U were the favorites to win last season. He probably forgot about his world class forwards, Aguero Tevez Balotelli Dzeko.
-
Mancini playing mind games with sir AF, to lift pressure of mc. fr tony

haha!
sadly, in modern football, a winners medal in Wembley ranks much lower than top 4....ask Kenny Dalglish.... :'(

As of this morning (Sunday, Aug 26), Liverpool sits at the bottom of the table. :shocked1:
Sorry to any fans, no intention to put down.
Last season, it was the Gunners who were bottom at the start.
Just wondering if this is the beginning of a new trend - having a "big name" at the bottom at the start of every season. :HammerHead:
Happy for RVP & Kagawa + Hazzard for getting goals on their home debuts.
And even Torres scored! :Startled:
Take care, Ciao!

Chelsea looks like the real deal...Torres and Hazzard seemed to be clicking well...and there's still Mata and Oscar..

Bad weekend for both the Reds, despite got some points...

MU against Fulham : Buy 3 free 2
Bad weekend for both the Reds, despite got some points...
, Liverpool V man c : bonus issue 2 for 2.
-
MU was lucky to scrape through against a physical side like Fulham.
Reds should have won against Man C, but Man C was resilient with Tevez on song.
Chelsea played some good football with Hazard and Torres clicking well.
-
Consistency is the name of the game. Chelsea has that but still too early to say yet. fr tony
-
Ex gunner Persie won it for MU with bull eye passes from Scholes. Liverpool at bottom three after 3 matches, has got to buck up ..
-
M Owen playing for Stoke 2 nite, wishing him wellness n luck. fr tony..

A draw would have been a fair result..

I am certain at 11 vs 11, Chelsea would have won...

somehow I strongly believe that ManUre is getting desperate to catch up to ManCity and is buying referees. just look at all the decisive decisions that went their way this season.

The decisions going for them this season is chronic, laughable and ridiculous...
Not just this season... every season.
Other teams play at 100% every games and yet get 80% of the results.
MU play at 70% but always get 100% favorable results.
It's just sick... so unfair to the other teams.
Look at MU this season, they play average but still they are 1 point behind leaders Chelsea...
-
As i said earlier, MU has the worst defense compatible to the bottom 3 teams. The goals scored against them should tell the story. Only the front 4s are keeping them alive with their goals (to be fair to Van Persie) Up to date, Chelsea is the most consistent in the EPL..

EPL us entertaining!!! Especially MU is playing
Anything possible!!!
-
smtg has to be done. I hope they would bring in video replay and goal line technology soon.
-
Chicharito goal was offside but was counted good whereas Suarez goal was a clear goal yet it was declared "offside"..& the second yellow that lead to Torres red card was hillarious!! 9 VS 12..Lawan Malaysia pun belum tentu Csea boleh mng kalau main 9 orang!! Well, what can u say..its MU..win at all cost..To the extent of buying refs..Wish Lpool to have more money to buy the whole FA moron!! Hehehehe...

Fat chance, alot of vested interests and ppl in power won't let that happen.

-
lucky no watch, sure heart attack ... :o
-
Another goal feasts last btw Chelsea ;5 n Mu 4 in a league cup match..
-
Big match 2 nite MU vs Arsenal ..
-
Chelsea fired DiMatteo and put Rafa as temporary caretaker. We will see how Chelsea fares next.
ManU was "burnt" in Gala's "Hell" but they already qualified and send a back-up/fringe players for exposure which is good, IMHO.
ManC is still the team to beat in BPL but did slightly better to draw with RM (not Richard Mille, but Real Madrid).
Last weekend match between Norwich vs ManU - I must commend Norwich plays with 11 players in attack and also 11 players when defending. Good for them to win against ManU who did not placed their actual CM in play, instead their make-shift CM role goes to their left winger. Giggs and Carrick were slow acting in the Central midfield position. Young and Valencia was also off-form. RVP plays at Rooney's position and there was no link-up between midfield and attack.
IMHO, ManU should play Anderson instead of Giggs. Scholes is also a better players in midfield in the sense that he can tackle and is a good passer of balls.
Anyway will follow this weekend matches.
-
Di matteo does better that most of his predecessors , yet he got the boot. If Pep were to move there, he could be making a mistake..

Yes, couldn't agree more.
The Manager at Chelsea is RA's "toy-boy", hire and fire at his whims and fancy, except one.
IMHO, Pep will be better off in other clubs like ManUnited.

Last weekend MAnchester Derby was a goal-fest. Both the Red half and the Blue half were in the act, scoring 5 goals in total. It was an entertaining match, and the 12th man did it. (No, not the referee, but NAsri, RVP's ex-teammate) He who deflect RVP's freekick into goal. And suddenly the "Noisy" neighbour, is not so loud anymore! :Laughing_on_floor:
-
Mu nearly threw it away with poor defending. For MC, By just spending lots of money won't always buy sustainable success .

Liverpool and Chelsea did well to win. ManC is there too.
For once, MAnUtd did not have to struggle from goals scored against them to win matches. Chicarito and RVP combined well to frustrate the Wigan goal.
Heard that Ronaldo may be going back to Ol Trafford with De Gea and another ManUtd player going the opposite to Real MAdrid. Then, there is sneider available from team Milan.
-
It will cost a fortune to bring Ronaldo back but will be a formidable strike pair with RVP.Should sell Rooney, not been consistent through out his years in MU.

I beg to differ on the "selling Rooney" part.
So far the RVP-Rooney combination did well before Roo was injured. Look at most of the games where ManUtd was 2 goals down and they managed to comeback with 3 goals or more scored.
Only in the last 2 matches (vs WBA & Wigan) RVP was paired with Hernandez, with the rotation in midfield and defence. (Kagawa - Carrick, Ferdinand-Jones).
Furthermore, with Roo around, SAF will have more option if he plays a diamond formation in midfield, Roo/Kagawa/Cleverly/Scholes can fit in with either a lone or 2 strikers upfront(RVP/Hernandez/Welbeck). Not forgetting, Roo can play in the striker role too.
But, Ronaldo-RVP partnership will be awesome IMHO.
Relishing to see the derby between 2 great teams, the Reds(Liverpool) vs Red Devils(ManUtd).

cant wait too~ hehe
even though liverpool kinda lapsap this season but they always give a good fight when vs mu..
and with el pistolero been shooting nicely lately.. i hope the Reds win..
-
Interesting game which Mu played better first half, Lp played better towards the end. 2 - 1 to MU.
-
Fair result in the Red Devils vs Reds game.
Liverpool played like "lapsap" in the first half but improved tremendously in the second with Sturridge-Suarez-Borinni combination providing more threats at ManUtd goal.
ManUtd played well in the 1st half but "put on the brakes" in the second half and managed to win the match 2-1.
Refereing was good with little major contoversies. But I had a feeling that Webb "favours" more for Liverpool in this match.
-
Frustrated but couldnt agree more with u guys... :HammerHead: 7point clear of the 2nd place, its hard not to imagine they can clinch the title.. :Blue: haizz... but still "bola itu bulat" anything is possible~ :Praying: ;D

Yes anything can happen in soccer, do you still remember a game has to be called off half way through the match when some idiot

now its time to see whats the outcome of the City game.. :Praying:
-
It was Skrtel mistake @ Anfield..Now its Reina's turn to hand them a "gift"!! We should've collected max 6 pts against this CT side!! Damnn!!
-
with 12 point clear from city, will man u win the title this season or city will strive to retained its status?
-
I'm a MU supporter thus i would hope MU reclaim the title this season.
But can't deny, MC is equally good as MU, if not better.
-
I think MU is going to walk away with the PL title. They are more consistent up till now and with only 11 more games to play. regards tony
-
No, Tony, remember last season with 8 games to go MC pips ManUtd to be the winner by goan margin difference. So the "ball is round" as people say. Wait till it is the last possible moment (like ManUtd leading 12 points with 4 games to go) then I would say it is 99% ManUtd will be League Champ.
I'm a MU supporter thus i would hope MU reclaim the title this season.
But can't deny, MC is equally good as MU, if not better.
Could not agree more with you, swleong.
Others than the 2 Manchester clubs, Chelsea looks like a spent force (bundled out from 4 possible competition - BPL, League Cup, Champions League etc), Arsenal does not have the edge or aggression like in their previous teams and Liverpool is "rank" the same or below Everton (a team used to be ManUtd's surplus feeder team).
-
It looks like the EPL title is going back to MU. Yes they have been very lucky to have won a match by opponent's own goal, but they are also more consistent than the rest and much better than they were last year. tony
-
Although I am more of an "anything but MU" sorta guy, its really looking to be a title which is MU's to lose. They looked kind of jaded against Sunderland but was not really in trouble throughout the game. Buttner was exceptional with his tireless work rate.
Liverpool looked good against Aston Villa yesterday...showed great character in coming back from a goal down although they dominated for much of the game. Coutinho looked like the steal of the season...what a sublime lay through to Henderson.....can't believe that he is just 20!
-
Gotta agree on Coutinho.
As a diehard reds fan... wasn't expecting anything this season as I was seeing it as a transition period.
But it was nice seeing them getting better...

Coutinho's great....poor Sterling has been relegated to the bench....but he has years ahead and should't be exposed so much. Fergie once commented that Michael Owen was exposed too much as a youth by Liverpool that he failed to reached his fullest potential. Brendan Rodgers is probably taking heed of that wrt Sterling.

Bro...for the Merseyside die hard fans.....Liverpool has the youngest squad. Looks like Tan Sri Tony stuck with the near pensioners.

It is nice to follow Liverpool during their ups and downs and all those turmoil.
I can finally see some stability and hopefully improvement season after season.
-
as much as i detest the Mancs, I think Sterling need to learn from Giggs. Pacy and tricky wingers are exciting to watch but they can also turn out to be a 1-2 seasons wonder. IT has happened and might happened to Sterling. You can only fly down the flanks with your pace and trickery for a limited number of times. After that, either your legs and body will fail you or your opponent will find a way to deal with you.
Giggs and Figo started as wizardry wingers. They still have a trick or two in dribbling and running past opponents in their final years as players. But more importantly, they also reinvent themselves as good readers of the game and could control the attacking play alongside good midfielders and all out strikers.
-
Suarez made headlines again....
Not for scoring in the dying second...
But for zombie bite
-
Suarez made headlines again....

haa...haa...He really needs to start maintaining more professionalism. Someone of his caliber don't need to be doing things like that. But I think where he comes from, i.e. South America, this sort of things are not very frowned upon, where the football is more visceral. Case in point, Tevez.
But coming back to Liverpool, its again up and down from the last 3 games' results. I was out buying jerseys yesterday and from my choice of the Anfield away kit, the shopowner got me as a common Liverpool fan. He said that in the summer, Liverpool should be offloading the likes of Lucas, Downing, Allen and Henderson. I agree on the first three , I mean, Lucas is just another Charlie Adam sort of midfielder but I think Henderson has come along quite well. Allen would be difficult to let go because of the BR factor.
But next season would be the season to watch for Liverpool.
But for me the stand out person for this season........Wenger. With the sort of criticisms hurled at him at the start of the season and a makeshift squad and no real replacement for AVB, sitting at third on the table is amazing with Champion's League football assured. Cheers Wenger.....a real footballing genius with the character to boot.
-
He was fined by Liverpool 4 that love bite, he don't seems 2 learn.Just like ex Mc Balotteli.
-
Congrats to Mu for winning the EPL title, no matter how much critics have belittled them they deserved to be champion again. And the 13th time in 21 years.
-
glory glory man utd
-
and the reds go marching ON ON ON!!!
RVP second goal is god sent!!!
-
I am not a MU fan but CONGRATULATIONS on a fantastic season. SAF sure was galvanized by how he lost the title last season and made sure this time round with 4 matches remaining..... :Startled: Wonder whether Rooney will be offloaded in the summer....
Watch out for the Reds next season.... :Dancing_banana:
-
I really admire what Sir Alex can do & has done with MU.
While I'm not a full (red) blooded MU fan, I do think they are deserving champions - meaning they are the best over the period of the whole season.
Unlike Man City or Arsenal who raise their games on big occassions & then loose the next match against lesser (no disrespect) teams. :Scolding:
But I'm wondering about Rooney - has the (so called) best english forward in the modern game decided he's better playing as a midfielder now? :-\
On to something with a Malaysian flavour - congrats to Vincent Tan whose (red) Bluebirds shall be strutting their stuffs in the BPL next season. :Dancing_banana:
Too bad we won't get to witness any "Battles of the Tan Sri's" as, barring a miracle, Tony F's QPR looks certain to be relegated.
Good try but I thought Tony F succumbed to the (wrong) idea of buying success in the BPL, forgetting that he's a mere multi-millionaire compared to the other "buyers" of success - Chelsea & Man City -who are multi-Billionaires :Laughing_on_floor:
Take care, Ciao!
-
congratz Man Utd fans~

It seems he wanna bite his way out of liverpool? hahaha :Laughing_on_floor:
the race for a place in Champions League next season still on~
Villa pull themselves out of the relegation zone with a thrilling 6-1 victory~
the league still exciting to watch.. huhu
-
Sir Alex Ferguson has called it a day. Thank you for the all the memories .
-
Most likely to be replaced by David Moyes.. the 3rd longest serving manager in epl currently just after Wenger..
Sigh.. Now when Mourinho return to epl, he dont have anyone with a unique character to play mind game or battle with... :D
spurs pulled a 2-2 draw to give themselves a chance at the European spot..
there are also the fight out of the relegation spot battle not yet settle...
with wigan occupying it right now.. but wigan have a habit of staying in the premier league despite relegation battle every season.. ><"
all the best for all~ ^^
-
Its coming to a close for this season. The last of the top 4 and the 3rd to be relegated will go down to the wire i guess.
-
England Premier League 2012/13 season have officially ended..
Spurs didn't make the cut for Champions League spot next season..
Wigan this season FA Cup winner, sadly relegated... along with Reading n QPR.
Cardiff, Hull and Watford/Crystal Palace are promoted to be playing in the premier league next season..
Until next season ppl~
