AP AD in Malaysia and List Price, Warranty Advice

Hi guys,

I've been lurking around for quite some time, reading up on threads but this is my first time posting.

Based on my recent experience with a Rolex AD in KL , I realized that I was willing to spend a bit more than I would normally do to get a good watch which led me to consider my first AP.

I've seen  a number of local shops selling pre owned pieces but since it will be my first AP, I'm thinking of getting a new Royal Oak 15400St at the Starhill, thereby reducing the risk of getting a lemon.

1. Any advice on the list price and whether any possible discount?
2. Boutique blue dial exclusivity - availability via a pre-order?
3. Any other advice with regards to warranty offered by the boutique (i'm confused with the whole 2 years plus 1 extended year? or is it 3 years plus 2 years extended???)

I don't have AP, many AP sifu here will advise you later

however just my own opinion, it is your first AP, please get from either Boutique or AD

from what i learned in this forum, usually AD provide a more reasonable discount as compared to Boutique and whereas Boutique usually have more variety of models

please enjoy the whole process like taking medical leave on weekdays as less crowded compared to weekends, put on your best clothes and have a nice breakfast and drive your way to Starhill

when in Boutique, ask for a cup of tea or coffee, if they have Nasi Lemak please order as well since you are buying, then please fully utilize whatever they can throw at you

once close deal, ask for freebies like calendar, catalog from 2001 to 2016, polishing clothes, travel pouch and whatever they have

ask them to wave your Strahill parking if possible

For the SS 15400 blue dial only very little or no discount, and black or white dial the discount will be more than the blue.
Warranty is 2yrs plus 1 . To be eligible for the 3rd you need to haveyour watch sent to SG ap service center for a water pressure
test. Congrats on your choice.

Is there an AP AD in KL? I only know the boutique in Starhill.

Hi there,

Discount in AP now should be around 5% for some model and some no discount.. I would suggest you buy from boutique and off course it is much more expensive than AD but the goodies &  perks you get is worthy..

Warranty 2+1 standard but some boutique u get 5 years I'm not sure in Malaysia u get 5years or not but I can check for u.. if u need any help with sales people do let me know.. I know few of them just PM me..

This year they flew me to Singapore for free for their launching of supersonnerie and watch F1 at the same time..

just out of curiosity, i don't think buying a blue dial 15400 will entitled to fly to Kiasu Land watch F1

must be white, black, blue dial each plus another ROO 42 ROO 45

still i don't think is enough to go Kiasu Land

Buy any gold series get to go countries mainly in SEA for free if there's any event

Spend 500k above go to event outside than SEA..last event was in Dubai & they organize golf tournament 1st price is AP watch..

Buy tourbillon get to go factory visit and other stuff..

Usually u get to travel on biz class & stay in 5 star hotel.. they don't invite you just once but if there's a repeat even they will invite you again.. all depend with ur SA
