Another suggestion...any 5k-10k watch will do fine. At least you don't feel so bad if you scratch it.

30k is a loot of money. I'd go get a JLC Deepsea Chronograph. Why? Cause it looks better than a Rollie and has a Chrono function. Can withstand a beating for sure.

Value is relative... And beauty is in the eye of beholder.

Some may say 30k is a loot of money for JLC, why not IWC?

Some says why JLC chrono deepsea; chrono is not an essential feature and it's not an iconic JLC, might as well go for the Evergreen timeless reverso?

Some says why JLC, rolex second hand value is second to none (at least that's true compared to rivals within similar price range) and it's great for a beater as well!

And finally looks are extremely subjective, you may prefer JLc for your own reasons and others prefer other brands for their own reason.

Bottom line, buy what you think is best for you...

Btw, for the record, i do love the looks of JLC chrono deep sea, but the two registers vintage not the current three registers version.... ?

Haha my preference is for a JLC. Of course the op can choose which ever one he wants. For 30k, the budget is very generous and the op can get pretty much select from a wide range of watches.

I saw an old school AP Royal Oak for 30k at Hang Thai. Was gone within a few days. Such a beaut.  ;D
